I love this message. I've been C-staff in a number of companies, and they always fail by focusing on IQ without EQ... It's such an inability to ee the forest for the trees. Thank you for making this vid!

Great interview. Thank you. Wise. Helpful. Insightful. Authentic. Fun. One glitch though -- it's really hard to hear from Jeremy says at about 25 mins or so in. Please fix this, if possible.

Love this episode. I really appreciate Dave's perspective on integrating faith into leadership, rather than compartmentalizing it. This authenticity creates a powerful foundation for building trust and inspiring others. And I also love the content about the North Star, despite the team competing against themselves.

So glad you enjoyed the video and have been immersing yourself in the book! We had a recalibration on the course since the time the original video was published, and presently it is being used with some of our internal coaches and clients, but stay tuned, as it may become available more broadly!

I don't Leadership is a trick to get sheep to follow. The greatest leader is in control of themselves and needs no sheep to tend to.
@arableco
@arableco Ай бұрын
That's an interesting perspective. Do you think there's value in someone who can lead a team to greatness or are you suggesting we'd be better off without leaders but rather have individuals who lead themselves only?
@radiopete7290
@radiopete7290 Ай бұрын
@arableco greatness is in all of us and to desire a leader to take us to our greatness is playing God. Leadership roles require manipulation of people to achieve their alleged objectives and this is not what humanity should be focusing on. We are all great already we just have to recognise this. And to call yourself leader is demonic in it's own nature, to lead them away, to lead them where I want them to go. Leadership is based in warfare as well and leads millions to the slaughter. Leadership is integral with being told what to do and controlled into a design and fashioned into another reality. Like Michelangelo carving David. Or Steve Jobs concept of a device that can be used for good and evil. That's why I used the word sheep. True leaders never claim to be leaders, true leaders are followed by those that respect the right ideals. Not leaders that desire profits or recognition for their ability to be a leader.

Or, and hear me out, leaders hold power, power corrupts. They don't make mistakes, they make corrupt choices, they demonise themselves.
@arableco

The dynamic you're describing sure happens a lot. Too often. We wonder if, instead of moving so swiftly to reject leaders when they falter (or even make corrupt choices), we might engage them more directly and give them opportunity and room to change. Does this seem possible or too idealistic? Here's more on our latest blog...we'd love to hear what you think: www.arableco.com/insights/cancel-cancel-culture

@arableco Well I think it's not about that, when there are leaders, the burden of exemplarity should, in my humble opinion, be theirs. If they're not able to meet the standards we set for them, it's on them. They're the ones thar should question their behaviour instead of victimising themselves in regards of the so called "cancel culture". But first of all, you say we NEED leaders, that gives a framing to the conversation and I disagree with this. The way our society is organised make us feel like we need leaders but it's actually the other way around, it has been organised to emphasise the role of leaders, we dont have to keep it that way. Again, it's only my opinion, it's worth what it's worth. 😊 Edit : I'm not a native English-speaker so I might have not expressed my ideas very well, sorry for that 😅
