was the specific material you used to tie yourself up significant? if so, I would do fewer wraps, and tie them off more often. since it's such a flimsy material, we know it's not hard to break, but you're making to effort to do so.

The specific material was not significant to me except that I wanted something bright. The tape was neon, so it worked for my immediate goals. The text and specific movements in this performance were largely improvised. I like this video because I can see where I could choose some of the text to expand on. It's a beginning, for sure. The immobility was me responding to the immobility we see in many of Beckett's characters. The idea of fewer wraps, more ties is interesting. It would create a different movement pattern, and would probably make my movements more efficient, especially if I prepped the material ahead of time.

I don't think I followed much of it, but I liked a breathing and laughing ball. It was changing the channels on a radio?

The part about the radio I'm unclear about from the video.

The prompt for this piece included attention to scale, use of objects - what does the object do naturally and what can the object do through manipulation, and attention to breath. The car sounds corresponded with the smaller balls crossing the performance space - I'm not sure that they are completely visible in the video. The truck sound corresponded with the larger ball. (Scale.) In my head, it's a story about coming home, watching tv, and then becoming the moon - or an ocean buoy. But I think I used radio sounds as the station changing sound because it was what I had. :-)

I have no idea why, but I watched this at a really late hour -again, I don't know why-, and when you said: "AHA" I started laughing franticly for no reason.
