I leave for my swim out room in less than a week! Do you know where the Altitude lounge is for check in?
@Get-Lost-Travel2 ай бұрын
Hi, sounds awesome! The altitude check in area is downstairs down a long hall way. It is best to go to the main check in area and they will walk with you to special check in spot. That is what they did for us. Have fun!

We went here for 10 days in lat3 April / early May ( 2024 ). Everything was great with three exceptions. The first was our “daily stocked mini fridge was not cooling the cans and bottles of water. We mentioned this at the front desk on the day after we arrived but were disappointed that it still wasn’t working for the next few days. I approached the front desk again on day 4 or 5 and the helpful front desk person was very polite and helpful. She said a “ mechanic ‘ would have a look at the fridge at some point that morning. We went to the buffet for breakfast ( the flat grill at the entrance makes some of the best Omeletes I’ve ever had Ty Quadalupe ). After breakfast we picked out a couple lounge cots and “ claimed them with our towels then spent a couple hours trying to turn our pale Canadian skin a little “ browner “. We returned to the room a bit before noon and 10 minutes later the “ mechanic knocked on the door. He came in, pulled the mini fridge out to get at the back of it, and turned the switch on the back. He said “ 10 minutes it will be cold “ but it never did work. It’s not a deal breaker as they have Pepsi products which I don’t drink anyways but it would have been nice to sip on a cold Mexican beer once or twice. The another disappointment was booking a table at the 3 Al a carte restaurants. You are required to line up in the lobby to book a spot at 8:00. If you don’t line up by 6:30 at the latest by the 5pm you get up to the desk to book a table the Grill, and the Asian restaurants are booked for the day. I got the last reservation for the Grill for 9:00 pm one day by lining up at 6:00 and being 12th in line. The reason for this is because people who pay for an upgraded stay ( $500 per person ) are permitted to book a seat before 8:00 am. Not cool and unacceptable. I get it that they paid more but it is an all inclusive stay even at the “ regular room rate “. Maybe at check in or the next day you should be able to select a one table reservation at each of the 3 Ala Cartes. We got in at the Hacienda one evening ( great food, wine and some of the best service I’ve ever seen ). Like I said I got the last booking another day at the Grill. I can understand why it is always pretty much booked before you get to the desk at 8:00 am. Disappointingly we never got a spot at the Asian ( name escapes me right now ) but the buffet was never a disappointment for dinner. The third concern is the fact that you can get to the beach pool at 7:00 am and all the lounge chairs in the pool area have been claimed. There’s usually still 10-20 available in the deck area beside the pool but even though we spent many many hours sunning it was disappointing to see how many of the poolside cots had nothing but the towels on them all day and into the evening. This is nothing to do with I believe his name is Mario??? who does his best to give these claimed unoccupied seats a couple hours before removing the towels and directing other guests to take the spot. On one occasion one “ tough guy “ showed up 2 or 3 hours after his towels had been removed from 4 chairs and tried to get violent with Mario who was in that area. This guy went up to the front desk, walked past several guests who were waiting in line and started berating the desk clerk who handled it in a calm and professional way. I would also suggest that the AC filters be cleaned or replaced more regularly as the AC in our room worked but was struggling and the humidity in the room meant any clothing / bathing suits hung up, never got completely dry.This is not to say our stay was disappointing. The rooms were clean, the hotel was great, 99% of the staff was super friendly and our trip was great.
