I'm glad you enjoyed the summer in Scalea. But you only show the beach, centro storico and the short stretch of a walking street. You don't show all the very bad roads revealing that the money allocated for road repair goes into people's pockets, nor all the buildings dripping with black mold because they aren't routinely painted, nor the parks and piazze with broken stones and tiles. There's also a large population of Russians livingd there. Perhaps they are accustomed to living in such squaller. Making money on KZbin by means of creating a false impression of Scalea is fraud, I'm sorry but it's true. I was there one day with the intention to buy based on videos of Super Savvy Travelers, who never responded to my emails and is far from savvy. Forget about Scalea, as I did after one day. I bought a home in Salento.

Thank you for highlithining our city, it is still safe to walk and enjoy some time out, the best icecream at Bar Nettuno with Nocciotella flavour and fresh cream is a must in the city. There are few more historical part very beautiful to be seen, please cameback soon in Salerno, people like you are welcome 🙂

How does one get access to the Torre Talao. Is there a ticket office on location?

By the Tower on the main street, there is a kiosk. There, there is a guide every day. His name is Franco. He is always ready to take you for a tour around the tower. He is great! There are no tickets. Everyone just has to sign the guest book and give any donation (usually a few euro). You can mention that you know Irina... 😁

Great video. A lovely little place Pizzo is and very friendly residents that enjoyed helping. A must for anyone visiting is the traditional gelato "Tartufo di Pizzo" which was amazing. Was there this time last week in 35 degrees heat..... wishing I was back there 😔

What a fun video. Lovely places for sure. Have you all been to Tropea? I spent 1o days there this winter after visiting Scalea. It was amazing in off season but not the easiest to get to. I had a car and went to Puglia after that and spent another month exploring Puglia after Calabria. Gorgeous in the south. GIna in Upstate NY USA moving to Ita;y/Portugal

Haha! 😁 Yes, for some reason, the South is very big on fries. They even have pizza with fries and sausage!!! First, I was shocked seeing grandmas eating the whole such pizza for dinner. Fries are very popular everywhere in the south.

Thanks. As for proyperty management, that's the perpetual quandry. We went through a couple of them and they're hard to find. When we had our rental apartment the realtor who sold us the place was also manager, that seems like the normal way. Now we have a friend who pays the bills. We've heard of a few independent managers but have no experience with them so can't recommend anyone. At one point i asked on some facebook groups and got a couple of referrals, but never followed thorough. Good luck on your search.

Thank you, Janet! From Scalea, there is a direct train to Agropoli. It's about 5 stops before Salerno. It's also before Paestum and Battipaglia, so the ride is easy. ❤️

My grandma lives there- she lives in london now though, and it truly is amazing, because i go there every year. It’s totally worth visiting because there are stray dogs, stray cats, and my fav dog, Neve- snow . I know where you went and you also passed where my grandma lives. Also, i recommend going in the summer, not only is it hot, but there are also thunderstorms! I could name where ever you go there, in-fact, i’m here right now! 😂
