Mountain bike on those trails every summer. Last summer they were building new mountain bike trails just off of Fair Allistairs. Fun times to come

We’ll said Jan. I started surfing at 54 and wished I had started decades earlier. Still learning, still trying to pop up in bigger waves and still looking forward to the “next turn”. And a big YES to NS…you’re never too far from some surf able waves. Can’t wait to start my 6th season…Yeewww! 😎🤙

The charger is built into the car. What you showed us was the cable interface to your 230 volt home service, the save as your stove and water heater. And not everyone in NS has off peak power rates. Only those who have installed Electric Thermal Storage units are currently eligible for Time of Day rates.

The charging prices are only a part of what they will be when more EVs are on the road as an incentive for people to get one. After that look out. Not fun waiting arount for a half hour or so for each charge.

90% or more of peoples driving is around home (or within 400km of home). So charging done at home is very cheap (here in NS, being the most expensive in Canada and still just 0.16/kWh). Charging on the road is a premium, yes. Here in NS it's $15/hour and usually means around $5-10$ per charge. But we haven't had to wait much.

What roof rail do you use? Does the ski box decrease much aerodynamics and range?

This roof rack set up is Thule (including the box). Doesn't change the range too much, just like ICE vehicle

Great video and super inspiring, particularly with gas prices these days!Quick question about the Hyundai Kona in particular, can you add a roof rack and trailer hitch to it? A trailer hitch for adding a bike rack, as opposed to towing.

Yes you can add a roof rack as it already has the side rails. Yes to the hitch as well but only for bikes and such but not towing.

We chose to add the roof bike racks, and if needed a roof rack that attaches to the back door.

It's no different than a gas car in terms of affecting range! So yes, but hasn't slowed us down!

Awesome vid guys! You definitely covered the main questions. I'm at the same mileage as your Kona EV in my Kona EV after 11 months of use. One comment to edit...on the part that refers to charging while "braking", it's showing on here as "breaking"! ☺️

home, depends on location and pricing obviously, for January I was $40 for 2600km.

That is at home. Charging at the fast charging stations are generally $15/hr. And our avg cost usually around $6. When you’re fast charging you are usually topping up at each stop, getting back to 80%.

All fine and dandy in the summer but just wait till January and February to see how it works. also, just being a Hyundai scares me but we will see between now and next year when we get a new vehicle.
