What is a brro? You used it to shade the back side of the paper then flipped it over to trace the duck onto the canvas.

Can someone please explain to me what 1 part powder and 2 parts water is pls?
@MontMarteArt
@MontMarteArt 2 күн бұрын
Hi there, thanks for your question! 😊 '2 part powder and 1 part water' means you use two measures of Plaster of Paris powder and one measure of water. For example, if you use 2 cups of powder, you would use 1 cup of water. You can use any measuring tool (a cup, spoon, etc.) as long as you keep the ratio the same. Hope this helps!

Can I mix with watercolor or paint over with watercolor?
@MontMarteArt
@MontMarteArt 10 күн бұрын
Hi there, great question! We haven't tried mixing our texture pastes with watercolour but there's no reason why it shouldn't work. Our texture paste range (Impasto, Modelling Paste and Light Moulding Paste) were designed with acrylic paint in mind and we do think mixing the paste with acrylic paint will give you a smoother and more consistent result. Having said that, you can certainly give watercolours a go and if you do, let us know how you go! 🙌 We recommend creating a litle test artwork before committing to your main painting to test out the consistency of the paste. You can definitely paint over these pastes with watercolours once the paste is fully dry 😊 Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions and good luck with your project 🎨

My very first oil paints were Mont Marte. It was the first time where I felt like I could actually learn how to paint. I was a teenager when Mont Marte was still new and was gifted a bunch of products all Mont Marte. I still use a lot of their products today. And I’m talking 2004-2006 when I first used Mont Marte so it’s been officially 20 years using this brand. It’s been the most consistent art supply for me personally especially because it’s easily accessible and affordable.

Hi there, sorry for the late reply! These journals are designed to be used with dry media, such as graphite and colour pencils, charcoal and pastels. If you're looking for a journal that supports wet media, like watercolours, we recommend checking out our Watercolour Travel Journal which has sturdy 200gsm paper 😊 www.montmarte.com/products/watercolour-travel-journal-premium-a5-30-sheets-a5-200gsm?variant=41244006219828

@MontMarteArt
@MontMarteArt 16 күн бұрын
Hi there, oil paint is fine to use with air dry clay. It would be best to seal it first with a thin coat of gesso although standard white acrylic paint will work too. This is done so the oil in the oil paint is not drawn into the clay. Hope this helps! 😊

@MontMarteArt Thank you so much for the reply, I'm making very basic snow lanterns of clay, tons of little balls I paint after dried and glue in a shape of snow lantern, and add a small led tealight candle inside. I make these as christmas gifts but gift them soon already so my friends and family can use them as decoration for winter. (:

can these be sealed with a varnish after dry, or will they reactivate during the varnishing process? I just bought your set of 48 and was wondering if i could seal it the same way i seal/ varnish my regular oil pastels with liquitex basics varnish. Thank you for this video!

Hi there, ideally oil pastel artworks should be framed behind glass. However, we’ve done some experimentation with sealing oil pastels with Acrylic Medium (gloss and matte) and it sealed the oil pastel. The medium will not re-activate the oil pastels. Hope this helps! 😊

Very happy to hear that the same sucessful experiments can be applied to these water soluble oil pastels! Thank You so much again for your quick response time!🙏🏻☺️🖌️🎨
