Hi, thanks for the video. A curly hairdresser made me discovered your products a few years ago and have been using those since. What would be helpful it is to have an idea of quantity to apply. You said you apply product by hair section but I have difficulty determining if I put enough. I know it is difficult to reply as it depends of the texture of the hair, lenght of hair. Would you use a tablespoon to do the full head? You may have already replied to that question in another video though.

I've seen braiding tutorials what incorporate rubber bands to help with gripping when braiding. Would you recommend this technique? Could this contribute to traction alopecia?

Thank you for sharing your very personal story. You are beautiful!! I had a relaxer since the age of 10. Due to covid I had to cut my hair down to a twa because my hair had broken off so much. I missed the video. This may have been answered but anyway. I have type 4 hair and have been using your products for about 5 yrs or more. I love the enhancing gelly and the Maxi gelly, however I dislike the flaking from the maxi gelly. at time my hair looks dirty, not pleasant to look at. I used in many ways suggested by you and I still have the flacking. Are you planning on changing the Maxi gelly so it does not flake.. it is only one I use during summer months to define my curls and it last for days. Using the enhancing gelly is ok but after awhile my curls become big ( big hair) do not like that look on me. I look forward to hearing about changing the Maxi gelly product.

Yes, it's definitely a learning curve! We are making a few modifications to the Gelly to reduce flaking as much as possible. However, the amount of flaking also depends on how it's used. We can troubleshoot your application. Please email us for assistance.

Wow! Loved your story❤️ As a young girl I use to feel the same way about my hair, comparing it to some of my relatives that had the mixed hair. Hitting my late 40s was diagnosed with a condition that forced me to go back to my natural hair and feeling depressed and having to deal with how to manage it, but then I found you and your products have saved me and I'm loving my hair. Oh my😰 Thank you for your testimony. The reason I cry while I watch your video is because you are speaking out loud what I am going through right now and have always gone through because of my hair and my dark skin. I am so glad you decided to continue. I love the Gelly and also the Max but the Max does not love me back (flaking, does not work with anything white underneath or a mousse on top). Happy to know a new version will come out. Wishing you great success on your curl spa.

I understand the issues with the Gelly and we are trying hard to change the formula to reduce flaking as much as possible. There is a way to reduce flaking with the current version. You can email us for troubleshooting.

No, we'll blowdry the style a little and then allow the hair to air dry. The hair dryer creates hair that tends to feel crispy.

38:55 conditioner (10-15 mins) 43:20 intensive hair deep treatment 1:01:20 hair butter (use generous amount with lots of water)

I was trying the sample sizes of the 2 products in this video right after I asked the question & should've checked to see if you answered first before applying them. I did unknowingly use a leave-in, but it was a light one. I'll try it next time without, & will view the videos you provided when I have more time. Thanks again!

I absolutely LOVE your products!! They work perfectly for me. I often get stopped and asked what I use on my hair. People can’t believe that I have kinky hair! Yes, my “before” picture looks just like yours. I apply the butter and then the gel and yes, they last!!! Thank you for a high quality product!

I started using Earthones about a year ago base on other people suggestion but don’t really know hair type or which one on your products is the best for me. I constantly sheds hair in my house and that dive me crazy, I wish I can come visit your salon to have a hair consultation and take care of them properly. Love that video, thank you

Not sure if their products is for all types of natural hair. I experience same problem with my daughter, only the moisturizer works but then her hair sheds and the curly does nothing

Earthtones was specifically created for type 4 hair. However it can definitely be used on wavy and curly hair, no problem.

@@earthtonesnaturals thanks. What about hydration? Wouldn’t Earth Tones be too hydrating for type 2b/c hair? I have fine to medium hair but a lot of it.

@@MarcP5267 hydration is one thing and heaviness, thickness and weighing the hair down is another. No, the products aren’t too hydrating. A product can be hydrating and light in consistency, texture and viscosity and be used by those with baby fine hair. The issue some may find with our products is that they are too heavy for their hair, but only if their hair is extremely fine and becomes weighed down with products that are a thick consistency. Our products have been used successfully by those with wavy and curly hair by diluting the products (ie, using the with more water). We have several hair salons that work with clients who have wavy and curly hair and use the products effectively.

The man from Avalon is wrong. Type 4's can be low, med or high. High porosity is damaged hair. I wash type 4c hair daily with no issues. Avalon is stuck on relaxer chemicals. I doubt he studied more than 100 type 4c's

Thanks for your feedback! This webinar is a few years old and there is currently vast amounts of information about various hair types and textures than a few years ago.
