Thanks to our band director Mr Bill Geis (back in the late 70’s) for pushing us to play great band music like this.

Heard this on my local classical music station driving home tonight! It's such a joyful piece! I love it. So carefree and American. ❤❤❤

Frank's record release of this theme was not as good as this film version. Probably it was technically better, but the film version is more appealing.

The trumpet part can get painful in their piece. So mutch higher pitch notes so quickly. Definitely fun to play through

Then the up and downs after the high notes, I know your pain. 2nd trumpet. We played it in 10th grade

I love this music choice. It makes this video's atmosphere so rich. Ominous, foreboding, beautiful, and majestic.

Wish i had this on CD. The pop-up ad at 8 minutes, 40 seconds in, when i watched this, illustrates the internet's complete lack of sense of time and place. Someone someday needs to write a book called "Ad nauseam" about our current ad-ridden online experience.

Splendid! The scorching Cootie trumpet is fantastic. The tune is, however, not a Sauter composition.......

Well played, but much too “safe”. Doesn’t hold a candle to the old Fennell/Eastman recording on Mercury.

Prologue seems rather safe to me. I find myself wishing for more energy, as one finds in the old Eastman recording. None the less, this is extremely well played and well recorded.

We did Masque in 78. Played 3rd Trombone, under Robert Reich at Deer Creek Jr High, IL. 7-9-9 at state. I think our trumpets were a bit young to handle those rolls...otherwise, Reich had us in top competition. He directed it to a perfect 7-7-7 at state finals in 68 and proudly displayed that award in his office.

I played this my senior year in HS, so not that long ago. I was the only piccolo in this piece. This song definitely proved the importance of keeping count
