Will listen to this on a rare commute tomorrow. Had I seen Luke at the expo I would have said hello, bumped into him last year in the queue for Earth. Wore my We’re Not Wizards T-Shirt on Friday, which was positively commented on by a few people. Spoke to Mark Cooke too briefly, when picking up a copy of Sumo, a neat little two-player trick-taking game

Had a great time. Had a quick chat with Flav on Thursday , but like Luke said he was super busy the rest of the weekend. Quite a few new games from Hachette at the show, Loote was on their stand but others sold exclusively on the Waterstones stand which was next door. Picked up Courtisans, and Middle Ages. Looking forward to Kronologic when it is released. Also had a demo of Shackleton Base, and took a look at the Akropolis expansion (pre-production). Hachette is just knocking it out the park. They have so many interesting, super fun games, and the team are fantastic.

I don’t want this to sound too dramatic, but I’ve been listening to your podcast for quite a while now and I do have to say this - you have a natural talent for interviewing people. It’s a rare gift these days as people tend to be more interested in hearing their own voice only. Sad but true. You do manage to get a meaningful conversation out of every guest (aside from a very rare few that only want to talk about their upcoming Kickstarter), and that’s golden. You are right the mantle is unclaimed without your show, so please continue to do your magic, even if we’re not wizards. (That was a bad pun, I should go now)

Very informative video, thank you so much! I think I'll get a copy ASAP, as a "from town-to-town evening" - "Florence" in combination with "Ragusa" - seems like a nice plan to have for me... ;-) (BTW: The family's name is MEdici, not MedIci - the emphasis is on the MEH... part)

Venice seemed to get some flak for the disparity in gameplay regarding player counts. Do you find that may be an issue with Florence?
@WereNotWizards3 жыл бұрын
I can't honestly comment for the higher player counts, but there are mechanics in place to limit or increase the number of available spaces on each location. With the ability to upgrade your pieces, you're never left with nothing to do on your turn either.
@braincrackgames73663 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, we've playtested (and played for fun!) at higher and lower player counts and although a 5 player game is a little more tense there is still drama in a 2 player session. The queue blockers keep rushing to the queues tight and challenging, so the play is still fun and interesting. We'll be making the TTS module public in the next week or so, so you can always try it virtually to find out if it's your cup of tea!
