Yes definitely! This right hand “inventive variety” is MY personal touch. The idea I’m trying to convey is that one should focus on developing THEIR OWN “inventive variety”(I like that concept 😁) Copying the patterns I play, would get you stuck in overwhelming complexity. On the other hand, if you focus on having fun with simplicity for a while, you’ll eventually start developing your own unique voice and very complex patterns that even I would not be able to reproduce with the same flow. Hope it makes sense to you, I’m writing this a bit too early in the day

Oh really?! Amazing that you did! It does feel quite different to play outside vs inside, where you are really affect how you feel… and that’s exactly why playing outside your comfort zone is so “interesting”. I wonder how it went for you.

Wow. So well said. I was drawn to ukulele with intention and desire to play and create my own meditation music but in the process of learning got so caught up with learning other songs and techniques. I appreciate this BEAUTIFUL reminder to let loose, express, and create for self. Thank you ✨🌻

Surrounded by covers, I decided to stop replicating others' music a while ago. Now, I play the guitar in my own tuning and compose my own melodies. It's far more gratifying. After all, constantly imitating others doesn't allow my personality to shine through. Thank you for the excellent ukulele instruction.

I wondered about that indeed, as I recorded and edited this video I kept in mind that this wasn't a very "2024 KZbin friendly video", but it felt right to share a more human side and not just soul less tutorials. Big thanks for that comment, I'm happy to see that this style of video still finds and connects people

Thanks for the question, what you're referring to is "playing songs by ear". My style is indeed more "free" in that it's not about reproducing but creating. I'll definitely want to cover that in a video because many people asked me this already

@@TiBO_Uke No, I meant I also support independent style. Not restricted to any particular song or music. My approach is to learn to play fingerstyle ukulele with different patterns. I am trying but failing to it. I hope I am making sense. I am willing to know your approach. It is not only about playing chords but also to create some music. How do you do that? so relaxed.

For me, You have been amazing. Initially, I was very hesitant to express myself freely by playing ukulele in public. Which is still I am. But, after joining in your channel, I got that confidence to improvize and it definitely helped. All you need is just a basic knowledge of chords. Ukulele is a beautiful instrument. I was in long time online search for some guidance or clue on how to continue my ukulele journey. I guess, your content is with me now. Good luck for your musical journey.

I’m technically able to do that and I really want to implement it for future videos, the issue I have now is time but I’ll try something different next week! Also this video is a challenging one which probably requires a few replays to master. It’s just 1:30 but is a condensed version of what could probably be a 20min tutorial video on another channel.
