Are the handles able to be set at angles to the rig?

Since there are many "breaking" complaints, I put a guffer black pro tape on the "weak" spot, from day one, to ensure the lifelong guarantee and BOOM.... They are sooo EQ responsive to get all the (sub)base and treble detail and air... They are awsome headphones!!!

Shame about the big "RODE" logo on the windscreen. If I ever buy this thing, I'll be adding a third-party plain black windscreen to my cart and hope it fits.

I took to one side with a marker pen to black out the logo 😆 Note that the cut-out is a rectangle to fit over the wireless mic.

Quite a few hours on a standard 5w charger, but as you can imagine a lot quicker (up to 20w) charger. I’ve not run it down to flat to do a full charge, as I tend to top it up each time I’m done with it.

I don't get geeky around specs, if that's what you're hinting at. People who but power banks don't care about that - they want to know if it works, easy to use, etc. What questions did you have about the power bank?

I don’t know about you, but my pair with constant use broke within two months of use, and the replacement pair also broke within two months of use - I am exaspirated. I went back to using my Sennheiser’s 380’s and 280’s. (Still totally functional after 8 years of use with/ replacement ear pads.) I do love the comfort fit, the awesome sound - but hey if they can’t hold up then what?

I’ve only had them break the first time, the replacements are still going strong and I’m trying to take more care this time around.

I bought my set Jan 2023. Once I got them I started hearing about the weak plastic hinges and have since been EXTREMELY careful with them. One of them broke last night. While I sent an email to Rode and hope I don't have any trouble with getting a new pair, I fear this is only going to happen again and again.

My second pair have been rock solid so far, I'm (mostly) being mindful of the weakness.

@@CreatorTechReviews Wish they gave us the option of just sending us 4 or 5 of the hinges and a small Allen key instead of replacing the entire unit. Would be faster and cost them less money as well. I'm still waiting on replacement pair.

@theripper121 yeah, I would have been happy with that.

Wonder can you use any lapel mic to connect it to the nth 100? So instead of using their own mic
@CreatorTechReviews4 ай бұрын
Not sure. Taking a closer look, the connection itself is a TRRS, so as long as it's wired right it should work in theory.

Amigo. Guess what? My Rode NTH 100 have broken again! It's always the same part. I ll have to ask for a replacement. I love the sound of it, but it's a real pity they have this issue. Apparently it's extremely common. So glad they looked after you. As for me. This is the 3rd time this happens to me. Hopefully, they'll honor the warranty and send me a new one...By the way. I have had the adjuster break 5 times. Even the most care taken cannot stop this from happening. The store that I purchased these from,there have been two locations, are looking to me as being the culprit. One salesperson, an arrogant piece of s*** is providing bad attitude to me. Not a good idea.

Hi Doug. I have a headset with a boom mic and I loved the quality. It lasted a long time and would have lasted longer if I'd not sat on them, pulled the cable, etc, etc. Now there's no soubd coming out of the speakers but I can still record with them. I only use these to record as the quality of sound is clear. They're Plantronics ones (now the company is called Poly). It was a Blackwire (not sure what model). The sound quality of the speakers was great. Do you know of a headset that is equally good? I record while sitting on my couch so a headset with the mic is much more practical. Thanks for any recommendations you give.
@CreatorTechReviews10 ай бұрын
i don't have a lot of experience with headsets with mics. I've added the mic (NTH-MIC) to my Rode NTH-100 and they are great - I've been using them for live streaming. You can get them together as the NTH-100M ( geni.us/IjNG)

Bigger head on the screw, i think the screw will take the tension that broke the plastic part, P.S. i also have one, and had them warranty replaced. And the screw is the first thing i noticed, i think it was a minimal mod to the manufacturing, and a screw change, to lower the cost because basically all early models have broken that locking part. (If this one brakes too, don't worry, the lifetime warranty will be honored) but i wish they will redesign the piece all together, that's the only weakness, the Achilles Heel.
@tokyoskyline175211 ай бұрын
Watching other videos when these first came out and broken fit locks was a common criticism and I think Rode made a few tweaks to the build to address this. I might be getting a pair tomorrow as on sale 50% off.
