Can't put a booster seat in the middle using the inner bars, they are spaced too far apart. It only works for convertible carseats, not boosters. The middle seat should have it's own lower anchors as it is statistically the safest place to position carseats and boosters.

I have a 2009 RAV4 that I use daily. I've used the center seatbelt many times for grandkids. Recently, it seemed that the latch to buckle the belt had gone missing. I spent some time digging around in the crack between the seat and back and found out the latch was caught on something. I was able to wiggle it free and now able to use the seatbelt again when I transport 3 grandkids at a time. FYI: If this happens to anyone else, it is easiest to a cess that space with the seat in a slightly forward position.
