We went to AMA (also known as Waves) last night. The atmosphere is amazing, despite being outside they keep fans blowing which kept us from feeling the humidity. The food was very very good. I had some sort of spicy tuna for appetizer which was great and the Lobster fra diavlo which was very good but the lobster was slightly over cooked. My wife shared my appetizer as it was plenty for 2 and had the seared tuna for an entree. It was fantastic!! Done perfectly!! We may go again this trip. We went to Savant the night before. My wife had a bit too much sunburn to enjoy anything but her appetizer was the fire roasted calamari and it really wasn’t very good. Her lobster was dynamite!! Done perfectly!! I had the lobster egg rolls for app which were great and the wahoo for entree. Unfortunately it was slightly overcooked but only on half of the fish, lol. So it was great and not so great!! If that makes sense. The service was fantastic and the ambiance was beautiful. We’d go again but not this trip.

I just moved out of Rolla, there's homeless people at most corners with signs asking for money, certain gas stations I would avoid so I wouldnt get asked to give money to some drug addict, it's a small town that thinks It stl, so certain people get treated like their GOD because of their last name and everyone knows everyone and most of them talk shit on each other and the rest are to busy on FB trying to fit in with those few big names to notice , go 50 miles in any direction and no one knows those names at all. CLEMENTINES 11sep2024 rude and injurious manager establishment will not allow you to finish your meal without harassing to you leave to allow more customers With over $100 meal AND A MATCHING TIP at hole in the wall restaurant, the manageR came by and asked us to leave to make room for their busy night of customers. We had only been there an hour and half of that was waiting for our order. We thoughT we could sit down and relax to a good evening meal with a couple of new friends. BUT NOT the FAT ANGRY MANAGER CALLED US RUDE FOR ENJOYING A TABLE WE BASICALLY PAID FOR. She could not appreciate the value we brought to CLEMENTINES RESTAURANT.

Sushi Ran is sooooo good!. I used to know the owner and my friends worked there back in 1982

Basically this is a town centered around wine tourism with a couple costlier middleclass-fancy eateries. So naturally it is a great spot for a people in their 30s' wedding with vineyard backdrops and just far enough from SF or LA to be a place to unwind. I find this is to SF what Ojai is to LA but PR is certainly much nicer with less people and they aare generally friendly if you are not sloppy whitegirl drunk on rose in the streets.
