Bryan is right, if it weren't because of the Floyd murder, Breonna's case would have been left buried in the dust, glad it didn't, even if it had to take an ultimate sacrifice for that

I know this is 2 years old but man y’all should’ve researched who funds BLM and the agendas attached to those type of movements before speaking on it. Would’ve been a way different convo. The positivity y’all were trying to spread was needed and appreciated but it’s a lot deeper than what was spoken about and isn’t the reality of those movements. Much love

It is condescending and NOT open minded when you hear someone say something like, "that band with the black guy" and you immediately approach it with, "let me let this guy know why he is wrong and if he disagrees, he is an asshole". If someone refers to the band and uses, "yeah that awesome bass player as an identifier, who tf is going to know what you are talking about? On the other hand however, if someone mentions the band with the black bass player, there is a much better chance. He was right, it is not malicious to refer to the band with the black bass player. It is something else entirely however to respectfully ask someone to not do that just out of kindness, and if they do not want to oblige, then you tell them you do not want to associate with them. Absolutely, if you do not like being referred to as the black bass player, or the band with the black bass player, people should respect that but there is nothing inherently morally wrong with doing so by virtue. It is not open minded or "teaching" someone to try to bend their ideas to your will and if they disagree, writing them off as a piece of shit.

Dude this interviewer is tripping. How in the world is it racist to say "Did you see the band with the black front man?". Keep this agenda out of the hardcore scene.

The "Interview" worked played with most of metal/hardcore bands around the world, probably experienced a lot of things within the scene which felt the need to learn what is acceptable and what is not, and had to learn from those experiences within his privilege. His concern is genuine, we are here to learn, love and respect.

Been wanting a video like this for ages. My 2 favorite modern producers as well as 2 massively influential guitarists to me. Their output with Converge/End/FFAA is amazing and they’ve produced some of my favorite records over the past few years.

I watched this stream live, and when James talked about that evil act about the craigslist ad, I dropped my drink in shock and disgust. I know kids, will be kids and do dumb stuff, but you have to have to not give a single crap about anyone to do something as awful as that. This shows how important our leaders are to the youth, by setting bad examples, the younger generations will reflect that with similar behavior.

VINCE! What a great dude and phenomenal player, I grew up with Vince in Pomona in the 80s and he did so much to help my band and many others - certainly a great guy to know. Good to see and hear your voice again bud, good luck and congrats on a great career, if anyone deserved it out of all of us its you.

And blaming a politician for people's behavior is weak If you want to point the finger at anything for societies behavior blame the Internet I've been around since the beginning of the world wide web and can tell you with certainty that it has done far more damage than good Everybody has an opinion but the majority of people have lost the ability to simply agree to disagree

@@johnnyrocko7105 In all seriousness though, yes it does look like he's blaming Trump a bit more than necessary. I admit I share his hatred of Trump so I'm biased as well, but I deeply resonate with this idea that Trump set a bad image as president by making it "cool" to be a bully as he put it. Harm's Way is a great band and it's really cool to know that James shares some of my beliefs.
