How do you turn on the heater from this boiler?

I drained my boiler, filled it back up to 1.5 bar then purged the air, then realized the whole problem was my gas meter not keeping the gas on. The stove would only last about 20sec then go out. I had to call up my supplier to let them know my gas keeps going right back off. They had me switch off the boiler, oven and gas line for 5 min, then turn the gas line back on, check my stove for 30sec, then test my boiler. So moral of the story, make sure your gas is absolutely on by running your stove longer than 2 sec. lol

Hello, i have underfloor heating and opentherm thermostat connected to this boiler, the problem is that sometimes the boiler loses connectivity with the thermostat and when the connection is lost the heating circuit blasts to 95C, if i reset the thermostat connection is restored and everything works correctly again, clearly this is a thermostat error, but is there a way to setup a temperature limit for heating circuit ? thanks

KZbin suggested it as I’ve been looking up how to fit a pump and thankfully I’ve watched it before going ahead as I didn’t know about the Surrey flange which my system doesn’t have currently or to check the height of the hot and cold going into the loft tank to ensure the hot runs out first. Thanks for this these guys are amazing it’s really a lot of work this plumbing job. Thank you for showing us what you guys do. And also if a job not done proper it’s expensive to the customers as a bad job done by a previous plumber cutting corners it’s cost the customers more to correct the original plumber bad job now needs to be corrected by current on-site plumber. Customers trust these professionals it’s clear there’s so good plumbers and there’s bad ones too pick careful.

Thank you for the video. Do you fix the side profiles on the walls whilst the silicone is wet on the shower tray? Or do you wait until the shower tray silicone is dry before fitting profiles? Hope that makes sense.

Thank you man. Me and 2 friends rented an appartment and we didnt have any warm water. We looked at the boiler and it gave this code. We tried ur fix and it worked. Easy and quick fix!

We have just moved into a rural bungalow with an LPG fuelled one of these. It’s costing a fortune in gas. We have it set to come on 3 times a day like the combi in our old house, but it’s not working well, the radiators take forever to warm and it’s freezing. We have tried turning it down and keeping on longer but we get no flow through the roads unless set at about 3/4. The old dear who lived here before had the room thermostat set to 26 day and night and I don’t think she used any more than we do at present! We just can’t work it out and hate it.

Can I also setup the timer on 050 boiler?

How do you set the heating to only come on at certain hours of the day? I only see a temperature dial. looks like it is always on? how do you turn heating full off like in summer?

Drip isn't enough if it gets real cold. Water is cheap, at least where I live. You can monitor your water temp at a faucet closest to the inlet. If it gets below 40 you had better start running water, maybe a quart a minute in extreme cold. You could do that for a week where I live and it would cost about $10. You also have to think about the buried line leading to your home in extreme conditions. This guy is English? Temp was 10 below zero Fahrenheit for more than a week this winter at night where I live. That does not happen in England.

I’ve just got a new acb after a boiler breakdown with no heat/hot water. it’s working now with the new acb except I’ve no hot water! Mildly warm at first then freezing cold!! Any ideas?

I am considering replacing a 30+ year old Potterton Kingfisher RS 50 CAT 1N boiler. The hot water tank iis gravity fed with an overhead tank. Thermostatically controlled power shower require such a tank. Any advice on selecting an external central heating pump and a 3-port control valve? Many thanks!
