I always thought Sonic Generations was one of the best 3D Sonic games ever, but with this Shadow expansion it elevates to best Sonic game ever in my eyes!

Metal calling Shadow an imposter I think works amazingly in multiple different ways depending on how you can interpret it. Neo Metal Sonic in the events of Heroes left behind the Shadow Android to make Shadow question if he’s real, so maybe Metal Overlord is trying to cripple Shadow’s morale by calling him an imposter Shadow instead of the original. Metal Overlord is taking out his rage and deep-seated insecurities of being a copy of Sonic himself, similar to how he called Sonic his copy in Heroes. I’m so unbelievably happy with how they wrote his lines in this fight. It has that same interesting vagueness that his original fight had as is a testament to why Metal Sonic is my favourite villain in fiction

The battle in heroes would have been much easier if sonic just aimed at metal overlord's green core like shadow does😂

Damn I thought Shadow was sympathetic towards him in Heroes? 🤨 It’s like the Modern Era took a shit on his growth from the Adventure Era of SA2 to 06.

I honestly just have a problem with his running animation and jump ball, also his boost color.

Adventure Sonic: Needs all 7 chaos emeralds and to become super in order to defeat Perfect Chaos. Beats him in his base form in Generations. Adventure-era Shadow: Needs to team up with the rest of the cast to take Metal Overlord down. Beats him by himself in Shadow Generations. The cast is getting stronger.

I really love how they used the Dreamcast adventure 1 model instead of the weird Sadx one. I know the latter has its fans, but there’s no beating the original in my opinion.
