all you need is people running or doing dailies on the ground with just as good of detail as this map and id think it was real, just the thumbnail to the video made me glance and think it was real lol

Poo pond is there, what about the Boardwalk or Heroes :)? looks pretty real but is there the mountains at the back if the airfield? I served numerous tours there between 2003 to 2012 and this looks pretty cool.

I was there in 2003-04. So crazy how built up it has become. I remember the tents all over the place. I saw the tower and was looking for the Mosque and then the one hill they always lobbed rockets and stuff from.

Those textures are soooo terrible up close…..once out of the cities or towns, this map sucks big time, unless you are in a jet at 10,000 feet or higher

Kiowa are bad ass I've seen them work in real life. DCS is excellent, landed at Kandahar AB, I recognize the flight line building and the TLS building and the poo pond.

Just flying is fun! Especially since DCS is probably the most physically accurate (commercially available) helicopter sim you can fly.

I don’t get most of the negativity, I think it generally looks great. Those mountains in the distance however, I agree they’re way too soft looking.

Looks alright but the problem with games like dcs and msfs is since they use satellite images it looks alright from 5000 ft but total garbage the lower you get. Really the only workaround is to cover that with physical objects or use a different method of texturing. All in all It does the job.

The areas that have received some attention from ED look great and it shows that this map could become a very interesting low level map. However, I don’t believe it’s ready for early access yet. The detailed areas are very scarce and everything else looks really bad: very low detailed elevation maps, very low detailed satellite imagery, tons of auto gen errors.

Looks amazing from a few hundred meters - I just want to land and get out and walk around to see just how detailed and good those terrain objects are. This is what Arma 4 hopefully will look like.

@@RickOShay Yes, that would be so good, have you tried Daniland terrain? If I remember correctly is 40 X 40, very good but it takes like 5 minutes to load into the editor with SSD.

@@spaghetti9845 *right*. 😉. I was mainly thinking of Takhli, Korat, Ubon and Udorn in Thailand. Laos is overflown to get to all the Route Packs. Thailand to the Route Packs 4, 5, 6a & 6b should be one map section. I Corp area and Route Packs 1, 2, & 3, might be another. Cambodia and South Vietnam might be the 3rd section.

@@spaghetti9845 None of what ever happened? I don’t understand what you’re talking about. I initially thought you were just joking. It’s very common knowledge F-105s operated out of two air bases in Thailand to conduct bombing in North Vietnam. To do that, they overflew Laos.

Tried few minutes ago, cargo bay is working in 3.8.1. The alarm sound was a bug, hopefully fixed :D

Hi, i dont own any exploration ships, this probably was in a free flight event. In my opinion, now, the best overall ship is Titan Avenger for one man crew. About exploration ships in this alpha state, and with exploration mechanics not implemented, i cant drop any opinions. You can wander in any ship.
