While I feel somewhat bad for Raoul, the fact is I don’t pity him 100% because he allowed this to happen. There were PLENTY of ways they could’ve caught the Phantom without putting her in this situation that she was frightened of.

Emmy Rossum's voice is hauntingly beautiful! Especially in this song! When I first saw this movie I was hesitant because I grew up listening to the Original London Cast Soundtrack that my folks owned, and this was always my favorite song and I didn't think Emmy was gonna nail it the way Sarah Brightman did but I gotta say, Emmy definitely gave it a more haunting and emotional tone that has alot of genuienity in it. You can hear her arguing with her inner self as to whether or not she wants to give herself to The Phantom 👏👏👏

When I watched this movie with my mom, the entire time she was saying how the Phantom looks fine and the mask isn't hiding anything then as soon as he was unmasked she said never mind he looks better with the mask on

I love how all elements of the sceene contribute to realize how visceral, intense and with no return is the relacionship that he desires with Cristine, such as the red scenario, that could be interpreted like the blood, the growing tensions along the scenes and also the growing intensity of the sound wich contributes to understand what the absence of a family, love, home and affection can cause to someone: this intensity of connection that he demands. There is also this fire, wich contributes to the intense aspect of the sceene and the fire itself as a symbol of transmutation: the both of them becoming only one. In fact, a very good scene in my opinion...

I thought about the entirety of the scene like that as well, and have read comments talking about the aspects of it too. You tell it well. I like how you have imagined what all the aspects might represent. I have almost thought the same things you have about the the whole scene and its finer details. But, the way you put it all is very good. Awesome!!

You've got to give a little, take a little And let your poor heart break a little That's the story of, That's the glory of love You've got to laugh a little, cry a little Until the clouds roll by a little That's the story of, That's the glory of love As long as there's the two of us We've got the world and all its charms And when the world is through with us We've got each other's arms You've got to win a little, lose a little Yes, and always have the blues a little That's the story of, That's the glory of love That's the story of, That's the glory of love.

This is forever my favorite version, and 4:47 Rauols face and tears. I saw another comment describe it perfectly. He was pained, knowing he is Christines safe choice. It's clear her body and mind, at least a part is deep rooted to Erik. As Erik is to her, and he will never be able to compete with that. Even if she was just playing along, you can tell and feel the attraction they have and he probably questioned if she was still playing or fell for Erik completely. For if she did, he could never take her away.

6:10 (Ghostforce in Phantom of the Opera: Mascarade, Xhypno, Jinjoke, Biballoon and Rozamour are on the balcony near the cable to the chandelier. Once they see that Erik is exposed, Mascarade gives the signal to release the chandelier.) Mascarade: BRING DOWN THE CHANDELIER!!!! Jinjoke: Yes sir. (Doing as told, Jinjoke cuts the cable to the chandelier, and before long, the chandelier drops from the ceiling and crashes onto the floor, setting the theater ablaze.)

Two lonely people with a strange fate. The only thing they had in life was music, and they met at the Opera House by fate. They realized that they were the only ones who could bring their music to the heaven and give them wings, and they sang this soul-shaking song because they had a similar realization to their resolve. At the beginning and in the cemetery, the Phantom pretended to be an angel of music, but now he exposes his body and his heart to Christine, singing of love as the Phantom, begging for her love. it could be Pietà. Finally, Christine faces the real him, not a ghost or an angel, and faces even her beloved Raoul as a special being who cannot be replaced, and this masterpiece conveys the strong resolve of Christine, who has been weaving the passion that the two have spun up until now, in a sensual way. The overflowing spirit from the two spread to those around them, conveying to me a tremendous sexiness and a rich atmosphere along with the wonderful music. He possessed a naturally sharp sensibility that allowed him to weave such heart-wrenching music, but I wonder how many harsh, cold and painful times he must have had in his life. How much he craved beauty and love! The beauty of this music made that fervor even more apparent to me. To Christine, the Angel of Music was the Phantom, and to the Phantom, that was Christine.
I’m like the Phantom, if I can’t have it I burn the whole thing down.

To accept someone as they truly are is rare among the ugliest of us, skeletons in the closet and all, the most unbearable and undesirable parts of ourselves that we're never going to be ready to tell anyone... Since I was little myself, I've had wet dreams, and acted according to my passion as an inventor as well. I was never innocent in my life past my egg, with my twin sister, and I've never told anyone more than all this. What's more... Is I've dreamed of the destruction of Babylon, that greedy and deadly demon, and planned to snub out the use of money for the space of practically eternity. The gold standard is not even enough for me, it all must end, all the greed and sadness of this world. So... I've already sent for it. The path has been made. And now we shall just be able to sit back, and wait for the world of Babylon to crumble before our very eyes. While those with skills have precedence in the world to come, which share them with the world, and blossom in our times of need. A new generation of thinking, and then doing, that should be the result.

The unmasking here has no where near the same power as Ramin's portrayal, the way he screams "NO!" both angry and afraid and looks away as it was completly unexpected for him to be unmasked mid song. In this Geralt just looks disappointed lol, like "aw dammit 😕"
