I have to say that what you affirm in the first minute is part of the edulcorated legend that is also told about the original people from America, but it was far from being so. Other thing you affirm is that Spain wipped out the original population, but that isn't accurate. The fact is that there are countries with more than 50% of their population, whereas in the USA and in Canada there is less than a few million of native people.
