I know this is a rather late comment but you can use the old grip tape to sand the deck, you dont need to go out and buy sandpaper!!!

The true method for belt tension is: Measure Center to Center of the axle and motor pulley. For every inch measured add 1/64” of belt deflection

Try the Clorox SOS steel wool pads. Tried a few chemicals and the pads were the best ones. Do not scrub the logo on the side, it will come off.

I was going to buy the equipment needed to see if my v2 trucks were fatigued but instead, I put that money and time towards Boosted V3 trucks. That being said, we truly appreciate this info.

Do you think that this would work with black wheels?
@alexiastewart8262
@alexiastewart8262 4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no. But you could get a change in color from lighter colored wheels other than white tho. You’d just have to take into account color theory (i.e. yellow wheels + blue dye would get you some shade of green/teal)

boosted board come way tighter - is that why motor bearings fail and shafts wear out?
@elontusk8018
@elontusk8018 3 жыл бұрын
No. Motor bearings and shafts unlit fail on the v2 boards that were early production. Later in production they changed the material that the motor shaft was made of and The issue was eliminated.

The orange didn’t work that well because it was the powder dye I’m pretty sure it would be better with synthetic dye
@musicalala
@musicalala 2 жыл бұрын
I've done a few sets in powder dye and it works really well. I've used purple,blue,orange and a two tone of purple /blue . I'm thinking the orange dye had been too diluted. I had only about 1/4 of the water he used in a pound cake-size pyrex glass container and used the whole pack of rit powder die for all wheels I did. 10 years later and my purple wheels are not as vibrant purple tho due to fading. They've been ridden but not that frequently because the wheels I chose were softer than I typically ride.

Idk if I missed it, but You didn’t really cover how to adjust, what to loosen if it’s too tight. What to tighten up if it’s loose. I’ve got a tight belt and need to know what screws to loosen to make my belt do what you’re talking about.
