Can't wait for the cinnamon roll pancake video!!!!!! Love the adaptations!!!! I love healthy baked apples when others have apple pie (easy to make and delicious... Dr Furhman has a good recipe)... LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! Thank you for getting us ready for the holiday season!!! Tips... I eat before I go to an event, so I am not so hungry that I make poor decisions. I also bring food for all to share that I know I can eat. I visualize how I will handle a situation before I go (i.e., not standing near the food) and congratulate myself when I make good choices.

Oh baked apples sound fantastic and great idea to visualize the situation.

Absolutely LOVE your show, tips, ideas, etc... Love how you show the similarities between plant-based and standard American cooking! LOL, I ALWAYS add too much sauce to things... I have to get more patient in adding a little at a time and do it to taste... Love your happy dance. I do that, too, when I have great food. The way I do sloppy joe is drool over yours... Maybe that will be our meal tomorrow night! Yummm....

Sheila, I’m cooking SAD for my husband too. Just curious, do you feel like the things going into his diet could be killing him knowing what you know? I feel that way even though he insists on eating those things. I know some women just won’t cook for him. I’m not that way and neither are you. What are your reasons?
@1Dish2WaysАй бұрын
I cannot make anyone change so I include more of the good things for him. I make multiple veggies each night I cook, fruit for dessert or a fruit bowl to go with his weekend breakfast, raw veggies as a snack while we cook dinner. So let me show you how I put that into action: Monday - salad and peas to go with a meat he grills, peaches for dessert Tuesday - Raw celery, carrots, radishes with green beans with a meat, strawberries and grapes for dessert Wed - Asparagus and corn stir-fry with a meat, applesauce for dessert Thurs - Salad, roasted zucchini & potato with a meat, pears for dessert Fri - a big stir fry with all the veggies leftover from the week with any of his leftover meats Sat - he will make his bacon, eggs, and toast then I serve a fruit salad with strawberries, grapes, blueberries, pineapple I hope this helps.

That spring roll salad with Plant-Strong peanut curry with aquafaba is brilliant! I love both of your camping tips/tricks!!! We love to camp/glamp. We also go gourmet by bringing lots of pre-prepared foods. We bring a mini blender and instant pot for really long trips, but most of our food is premade. We always can put together a can of beans/salsa/greens/good spices for a Mexican option. I can't wait to see the foil recipes. I love doing that, too.

Hello, I would eat the dish either way. The beans were very good. I did eat them at the potluck dinner we had. If you made these and did not make it known, I don't think anyone would tell the difference. I've had many versions of baked beans; they all have a flavor of their own but still good.

@@1Dish2Ways, I was wondering!!! I used to LOVE cheese but stopped eating it when I realized I wasn't tasting it in certain meals (like parmesan on spaghetti or a slice of American in a flavorful sandwich). I figured if I wasn't even tasting it, why bother adding the extra calories? I had a similar thing happen with oil. Just looking at the beans Sheila was making, I thought they would be delicious without anything added. I definitely have to make that recipe someday soon!

For the potato, do you prick it with a fork or knife before microwaving? I love the baked potato feature on our microwave! I would add greens and nutritional yeast to mine (or consider broccoli on it too). As for the pudding... OMG that looks delicious!!! Will definitely be trying that. I would have eaten it 4 days in a row too :)
@1Dish2Ways5 ай бұрын
Oh yes you do need to prick the potatoes a few times with either a fork or knife so they don't explode in the microwave. Oh yes Nutrional yeast and greens would be great.
