I’m sorry. Not trying to be mean, but this was kinda hard to watch. I don’t think anybody wants to watch someone go through the rule book every single minute. Those parts could’ve easily been edited off. I do like your setup tho. I’m considering making board game videos myself. I only watched the first 15 min. But I believe you’re suppose to give the Tingent Bot VP for each adjacent matching habitat that it shows on the Tingent card. Not sure if you corrected it later on. But I am looking forward to watching the rest of the video because this game is one of my favorites and I enjoy watching people’s gameplay of it!🙂

Nice review, i agree with your sentiment. overall for me it felt like a bunch of minigames and none of which were very fun, i would rather play a worker placement game that gives me tension about the action spaces or a cube converter that makes u feel clever for pulling off big conversions and the set collection here seemed really disconnected. neat theme that didn’t come through for me and i found no interest exploring further after a single play

I am super mad ships are only the bottom part, but the game looks super good overall and i love the 2 buildings, more i think is too much set up and painting for me.

Great review, James! My one play with you was really fun, would gladly play this again for how quick it is. I had played 7 Wonders Duel a handful of times, this adds some great new twists. Now - when's that rematch?? :D

I'd like to add one thing, regarding transportation and planning: feel free to search for alternative routes/lines to get there! :) when me and my gf arrived at Essen Hbf, we found the queue for U11 so scary because of the crowd that was barely moving forward... i didn't want to stand there. so we double-checked in VRR's app (ZÄPP and others are good as well) and found a 1-transfer solution by bus No.145 & 142. it was super chill, very few people around! altough it was not a direct route, it was rather pleasant and more comfortable for us. i think it's worth to consider perhaps. ;)

I opted for the standard pledge - smaller box and not bunches of plastic I’ll never use - but still has the building tray and double layer boards and stretch goals. I have a set of generic metal coins that I use for many different games.

I just watched your video 1 hour before the close of the campaign and decided to get the terrain edition and add the acrylic tiles. I also opted for the sundrop. Not sure if small miniatures are going to look good sundropped but still went for it. I guess once I receive it I can choose to keep the 3D terrain or the acrylic tiles but at least getting both gives me the choice to choose one or the other.

Finally figured out the mic problem today, but I couldn't record this for a 3rd time so next time! No more nVidia Broadcast touching my mic, that was the problem.

Who really needs to spend much more playtime to put plastic stuff on the boards? I'm against promoting spending any money on bling that does not improve the game. If something looks better but is as practical as basic stuff then I'm OK, but searching for building to put on boards is wasted time. This is no miniatures strategy game in which 3D elements have a use rulewise. Also, all miniatures (worker) need to be placed appropriately, which again means more playtime compared to just putting wooden tokens and ressources on the boards. Also, the standard IS an upgrade. 1. Solo mode 2. Double layer boards (which opposing to plastic buildings) have a gameplay use.

Bring water!!! learned that the expensive way😅 probably spent a game's price on that. i keep cash in a tiny vallet which is in a slim waist pack that is covered by my shirt. The noise doesn't bother me but the crowd does😵‍💫got a solution for that hope it will work. And i plan to get there by 7 at least, to find a good parking spot, near the building. i still have PTSD(joking) if i think about Parkplatz nummer 10🤣😐 it's outside the city, shuttle buses take people to the fair. don't you think that if you don't own any older version of Puerto Rico, the standard edition could make sense? The artwork seems very nice, then you also have a new expansion, the automa for solo mode, and probably they will also deal with improved rules for 2 players

All-in. I'm not sure why I need Acrylic pieces and 3d tokens.

I like Puerto Rico a Lot, and I am considering to buy it. I dont care about the Minis nor acrylics, but I was wondering if the standart Pledge has the 4 expansions... If so, should I go for this Gamefound campaign? Or should I go for the actual Puerto Rico retail one? Thanks in advance!

The Acrylic Tiles aren't included in the Landscape pledge. It only includes the Special Edition, 3D Terrain and Playmat.
