Cool video .. what if you have multiple source files , a multi story building. If I have 6” pipe on each floor .. can I link cells to measure the pipe on the 1st fl pdf and link a cell to measure pipe on the 2nd fl pdf etc.

AH! I had modified an existing stamp (that had worked for years) and during the editing I deleted the calculations window and for weeks I have been frustrated because the stamp wouldn't work. Glad I finally stumbled across this video. Someone tell the folks at the the support/help office for Bluebeam they can finally cancel my case. (The one I've submitted twice over a 2+ week window and has completely been ignored. Yes - that has ticked me off a little - we pay for support with our package and it was non-existent. I had to waste valuable time perusing the internet to find this one little tidbit.)

Hello, Is there a way to link the markups list directly to excel (that you can see it live in excel). So iff you change the markups list it also changes in excel. This is so we can auto fill curtain/extra cels with a formula in excel and see it directly.

When I open up my markup list, there are way more things on there from the drawings than what I actually marked up. Not sure how to get rid of the things not needed in my markup list.

I have highlighted all my measurements using the shift key and grouped them together. When I go to pdf summary, it will only print the measurement that is showing on the group tab. How do I print all the measurements in the group?

This is brilliant and exactly what I needed. If I'm calculating a wall area from a plan view (by adding a depth for the wall height), what is the best way to subtract for a window opening? Can this be done in Bluebeam, or should I subtract the window area using a formula in the Excel spreadsheet?

I have a large drawing set that is bookmarked already. I am working on a specific scope of work and I have to scroll through a ton of bookmarks to get to the relevant pages. I would like to make a subset of bookmarks for only the relevant scope of work. Currently, I made a bookmark on page 1 and called it architecture, then made all the sheets a "child" under that. Then I made a bookmark on the first relevant sheet for my specific scope and then started adding bookmarks of each page I wanted as a child under that. Do you know of a more streamlined way to do something like this? Is there something like a "Bookmark Set" where I could then go to previous bookmarks and then do something like "Add bookmark to 'X' set"? Something like this would be helpful in organizing and finding relevant pages only.

THIS is the video I've been looking for!!! I was able to figure out how to make various measurements, but never could find a concise explanation on how to setup the tool chest with presets that make sense for my purpose, and I LOVE being able to compile it all into a total measurement. I'm an insulation contractor and we need to measure walls and wall area, and it would take so much time figuring that out. thank you.

Is there a way to do a take off of an area say 565 sf and give you a count of tiles if tiles are 8.8sf? This way it can be easy and give you a total count of tiles based on the area measured instead of doing the math. Thanks!

Hey, I'm having a problem with revu in RFI. I want to create multiple questions using callouts and number them automatically. I tried using sequence, but it messed up everything. Whenever I edit or delete a question, the callouts lose their data. How can I fix this?

There is a pre-canned list of dynamic text options. Do you know if you can create a custom dynamic text? For instance one that takes the first 5 characters of the file name?

Hello Michael, Wondering if you have a method to accomplish what I am wanting in Bluebeam 1. Architect sent floor plan scaled as 1”=40’ 2. I make some markup symbols 3. Get the drawing done and now architect sends drawing scaled at 1/16”=1’. That’s about a 250% scale 4. So the question. I want to copy my completed floor plan markups (1”=40’) and paste them into the new drawing that is scaled at 1/16”=1’ 5. If I group the markups to get them all and copy and past on new sheet, how can I scale that group up 250%, so it matches the new floor plan scale? 6. I know if I use the snapshot tool (G) then I can scale 250% up, BUT now all my markups are just a picture and not editable. 7. I know I can also just stretch the corner of group of markups and it will scale up, BUT that will never get me to the 250% exact, I need. Just wondering if this is even possible. Kinda new at BB, but very glad I found your channel thx Mark

I've used this method for overlaying several plan sheets with the same viewports. I apply a layer to each snapshot so I can easily freeze/unfreeze.
