I think Matt is spot on with this. The indoor activities as a whole are tremendous opportunities for students to hone their craft. My kids have both performed in indoor winds/winter guard and they love it.

Proud WGI Winds performer since 2019 here. This activity never ceases to warm my heart in every aspect. It changed my life, it's changed the lives of my students, and it will continue to have a huge impact on generations of performers to come. Thank you, WGI, for great years past, and great years ahead! And go Fairmont firebirds! Neighboring city!!

This question isn't especially germane to the discussion, but why aren't difficulty and risk POCs on the Scholastic World sheets? I understand them not being on A and Open, because then everyone would be gunning for the same world class skills, and the different classes would therefore become meaningless. But why not in SW? Fear of injury? I feel like with the explosion of Instagram, the kids are doing the high risk skills regardless of them not being fully credited for them.

I suppose I bring this up because sometimes it seems as though we value the Michelle Kwans of the guard world a little too much over the Ilia Malinins. LOL.
