I lived in Ballard for 4 years and fell in love with the Caribbean Roast at Paseo’s and its clone Un Bien. My other favorite was the Rajun Cajun at The Other Coast Cafe.

Oy. 🙄 "Seattle Best Sandwiches" and you spend half the time out of town?! You got within a few blocks of Tat's, hands-down the best cheesesteak and hot sandwich restaurant in the city, but no love? I've never been to Salumi's, only a couple blocks further south of Tat's, but I've heard nothing but rave reviews. Seems you left more than a few bets actually IN Seattle to heist it to Tacoma!

Sadly, you likely missed out on the now-closed Grinders Hot Sands in Shoreline. It was a victim of the pandemic back in 2020 and is sorely missed. Their Stromboli was amazing and their SauBall (half Italian Sausage. half meatball) felt like it could feed an army. Also, thanks for the shout-out to Burgermaster! Those in the know love it even more than Dick's.

Honey Hole is definitely not the same especially the Au jus. The Fast Eddy was my go to and their fries were insanely delicious. The new owners have modernized the ordering which is nice you don’t have to deal with cashiers who seem to always have a bad day.
