My daughter who is obsessed with and loves sharks read your novel without sleeping last week and insists I read your novel this week non negotiable. My goal today imposed by my daughter was to read the first 3 chapters or she will have “nothing to do with me.” Thats a tough mandate. So I read the first 3 chapters aloud as the genesis of Hawaiian Mythology is the Oral Tradition of Storytelling ( all mythologies actually) and for me it takes a differently dimension orally. It works both ways beautifully. ( my daughter grew up reading books aloud and still does.). Wanted to get work done this afternoon. Instead will read the next 3 chapters. Hopefully you will be reading In Brooklyn. We look forward to that.
