Hi Lynn, it would be great to chat with you. As we have several products which maybe of interest to know about as travel agents specialising in the disability travel sector - please email us at [email protected]. I am glad you found it informative and we have 5 more episodes to coming, with the next one tomorrow. Interesting to hear about the upturn and then downturn, it's crazy how fluid everything is at the moment. Yes, the next episode is very informative.

We are travel agents specialising in the disabled travel sector. This was very informative. These are difficult times for all of the travel sector but especially the disabled travel sector. We noticed an upturn in enquiries for UK holidays until the rules changed again last Monday when enquiries fell away,. The changing rules are not helping at all. I was interested in the different responses from the interviewees. The special assistance came up as a the most common concern, not the aircraft. I will be very interested to follow this.

How would they get him off the aircraft in an emergency landing?
@flyingboy80954 жыл бұрын
Well, usually they would look for people willing to help him to leave the aircraft (at an prepared Emergency Landing) But let´s be honest - Persons with reduced mobility will be left behind when the plane is on fire and if no ones pulls him to the exit. Thats the risk they have to take, unfortunately.

Not likely to be much use for any person over 64kg. HSE standards say the maximum a person can manage in a straight lift is 32kg.

In aviation, this is one of the only and safest ways to board an aircraft, is with an easyTravelseat. Without it, I would have been lifted under my arms and legs, exposing me individually to huge risk with my disability, not to mention the special assistance folk lifting me. We have had several customers over 64KG being lifted in and out of an aircraft with an easyTravelseat no problem at all - just requires an extra 2 people to help with the lifting.

So do you stay seated in the sling? Any pressure issues?
@SxyJosh195 жыл бұрын
Geoff Holt - yes, the whole time. The sling also has a cushion beneath it, which helps alleviate pressure. I was sat in it for 10 hours with no problem.
