I forgot to mention in your other video’s comment section that I love wearing French Cuffs with my bow ties. I also will wear shirt studs as well. Do you wear French Cuffs with your bow ties? I’m going to try and place an order for a matching set fairly soon. It’s too bad your beautiful wife doesn’t sew matching cummerbunds for some of the bow ties. There are a lot of bows that just scream for a cummerbund (beside the formal black bows).

éRI’m going to have to try this method. I only have two criteria for having a good bow tie on. One is how tight the bow will be when it is tied and the second is the knot is not hideously huge. Overall, I want the finished bow to be roughly 2.75 inches high. This way it is large enough to hide my point collar’s points. As far as one comment goes I agree that fathers failed most of the generation known as the baby boom when it came to dressing properly. If they hadn’t failed us, maybe a lot of us wouldn’t be afraid of dressing up. But as for me, I love dressing up in a tuxedo and bow tie and wearing it daily regardless of special events or not. Man was not meant to wear jeans all the time.

I actually crocheted a bowtie for a teddy bear, but I didn't know how to tie one. Thanks so much for the tutorial. It was perfect!!

Great video however you do know that a mirror image version would have been so easy and maybe better for right handers. There are apps like "Audio Video Factory" on android, Adobe's "Premier Pro" or "Windows Movie Maker" on PC. Max probably have something that do the same iPhones? Possibly. But you'll pay through the nose for it. You could call this one bow ties for left handers and the other one bow ties the right handers.

This is just a refresher course for.me. I tied one about ten years ago. Thank you very much. Hope your business grows! Most greatful.

Question on the length. You say to have the bottom of both fish shapes around the third button down not counting the collar button. So what about the sizes on the neck listed on the back of the ties? When adjusted if I put one bow tie to my neck size it hangs a certain place down my shirt and if I get a different bow tie and set it for the same neck size, the entire bowtie is a different length from the first bowtie. Are you saying to ignore the sizes that are listed on the back of the bowtie for my neck size and just put whatever the tie is down to the third button? That’s the confusing point for me thank you in advance.

Excellent. The length, never talked about in other videos. perfect. The detail of how and where of what. perfect. I was asked to tie my employers tie for a very very important Banquet bowtie event with over a 1000 people there. He arrived with security walking up to me, handed me his tie and I put it over his neck and proceeded to nail it first try while on him with many people watching. Pressure like you would not believe. I snugged it and told him he was a handsome man. he thanked me. 100% true billionaire story.
