The latter tree looks like a cotoneaster. They're fast-ish growing, if planted in the ground. The faster and thicker it grows, the wire bite and reverse taper in some areas will slowly look less noticable. First step, I'd cut wires in multiple different sections with a wire cutter, then, with pliers pull them out slowly so as not to damage the bark. There will be some deep groves left behind, but as mentioned above, if you plant it in the ground it could start to look less noticable in a couple years. If you want to keep it in the pot, it will take many many years, and multiple pot-up-sizes. A shortcut could be to grow a very strong leader branch, or few strategically placed, in order to thicken certain areas faster to create taper and hide the wire bite grooves. Or, just clip back down branches and trunk and in a way, start over some sections. Good luck!

Hi!! I have a similar setup of this vanda placed on a coco wattle. How do you water it? Do you spray it? Or do you let it settle in water for several minutes? I want to ask because im scared that my coco wattle might hold too much water and cause stem and root rot.
