Thanks for the concept, didn't have a pair of channelocks that big so turned the base upside down and put the release nut in a vice...one medium sized tug and it released just like in your video, thanks. Worked it a good 30 times after it freed up and couldn't pay it to stick...

I look at mine there, tried to push it down but it did not move, I thought it may be down because I have to pump the pedal 30 40 times before it could start in the morning, after that it will start with no problem. So in case that the switch may be down, how could bring it up? Thanks.

This video was extremely helpful. Just follow what he has done. Mine bolts were standard, not metric, but that is no big deal. I do recommend when you do it that you relocate the solenoid. This can be easily done. There is a video by Mr. Fix-it that has you bend the plate and mount it on the back of that . However, I just remounted the solenoid on the cross beam and plate, just to the right of the gas line using an existing hole in the beam and drilling a hole in the plate. The solenoid went get hit by the seat, and I did not have to modify or replace any wires. This mod makes it super easy to change in the future.

Let me add on to this video if you dont mind, Look at the video where the man hand is located at.... if you do Not have the same size wrench if you have a LONG flat head screwdriver focus on where you can get a slight edge in - don't worry so much about you causing damge to the blades or anything else. the blade is located in the middle it's safe. the issue seem to be the latches Outside of the Blade... so stay focus on a spot and lift foward - Slowly and it should be fine as you loosen it

Good, concise and viewable to easily change out. Other videos and written instructions describe needing a wrench and screwdriver with no real removal explanation. Thanks! Had to really torque my old one to remove and was afraid to do so until I saw this video.

This has happened to mine twice now - both times the faulty component was not in the wiring but the boot (trunk ?!) solenoid which is the electronic boot latch itself. This can be bought online relatively cheaply to replace, but you will find you need a spline socket to remove it completely. So worth researching that before you take it all apart.

You dont have to unbolt the control arm only need to take the sway bar link off and push down a little and the strut will come out easy did it on my 05 colorado took an hour total to do both sides
