Jules, I LOVE Secret Life of Walter Mitty - And sorry Ian, but Ben Stiller was great… It was a more quiet, subtle performance, because that was the character, and I appreciated that he wasn’t doing the standard schticky Ben Stiller thing (which I also love, but was happy to see something different). The soundtrack was also epic! Of Monsters & Men, Arcade Fire, José González, Rogue Wave… And David Bowie! Phenomenal. Best line: “I have to make oxygen choices.” 🤣 FANTASTIC. Also, the final image/LIFE cover… Well, I love that so much, I Facebook’d it after one of many re-watches.

Side note: Frank Whaley’s Jim Dodge character is my spirit animal because, while I am not no have I ever been the Town Liar, anyone who has ever dined with me can attest to the fact that I really enjoy freshly ground pepper, I really, really think it enhances the natural flavor of every meal! I felt seen! 🤣

Billy, Ian, not only did I also see Career Opportunities in the theater, but I was working at a movie theater at the time, so I am proud to say that I saw it a good 8 to 10 times IN the theater (and plenty of times after that)!

Love Tapeheads. It's one of many campy movies Michael Nesmith did including Repo Man. Devo was the band that did the music for the scene with Swedish band Baby Dolls.
