the Christmas truce song always hits hard. for one day no shells no blood shed no carnage. just two sides sharing gifts and being friends in a war they didn't think would end. its a shame the war didnt end on that day right there it woud have been a glorious day if it had. alas...orders came but the soldiers apparently started warning each other when artillery strikes were coming just so no one would die or be alot less likely to, i dont now if that bit about the warning of artillery strikes was true or not. but a part of me hopes so.
