Robin Trower meets J.J. Cale? This is a great rendition.

One of the most underrated R&B artists to come out of Britain! In a venue near you, with his own trio, or Slim Chance - the old Ronnie Lane Band! He's also with Charlie Hart's Equators. Check out his solo album THE WRONG ROAD HOME - and of course, this version of Little Feat's classic is gorgeous !

What a fantastic version - and Stevie was equally spot-on during the Half Moon gig with Slim Chance this week on December 6.2023: The old Ronnie Lane Band he has been part of on and off since 1974!!! Keep up the always sensational fretwork and vocal chops, Steve - and folks: keep investigating for all the great Simpson albums, solo, with Slim Chance, Eric Bibb, Chappo - and never forget Chuck Farley, vintage 1983!

Very nice. I met John in the 80's when he was in the Yellowstone Picnic Band. They all came to Canada for a brief tour. Great band, nice guys, good memories. Glad to see John still has his chops. Be well, play on.
