Never forget my Uncle always bet on Pendiil , even back in early 1970s for me Pendil at that time was always winning and was a Superstar horse such great racing and the commentators seemed to capture the excitement, spot on. My Uncle always brought us sweets and a £1 note from his winning, saying I brought him luck every time i watch the race together at home on TV.

Biggest “ home decision “ I’ve ever seen . Absolutely disgraceful and has shamed our racing for over 40 years now . Still for the life of me cannot see what the jockey did wrong apart from being a foreigner ..appalling decision and Nureyev was a very comfortable and worthy winner in the day imho 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Nureyev was basically disqualified for being French trained, me and my mate Billy had been backing him antepost all winter and I was absolutely mystified as to why he was demoted

Skymas was a very good horse. A Mackeson winner ,plus 2 champion chase wins.He never quite got the credit he deserved.

All about IF this IF that Bucky was always going to win .lovely horse.so privileged to of seen him in the flesh....amazing creatures really are is there any other animal that could take 10 stone jockey at the age of 2/3 and perform like they do ..its like a magic carpet.

Great ride by Willie. He had a ton of horse under him and did not panic. Once he opened the throttle it was no contest. Remember listening to this commentary on radio as a kid...great memories.
