OMG… that’s me. Number 509 😭 This was such a heartbreaking experience for me. My teacher (not my choreographer) sabotaged me by putting my Tango number and Salsa number on top of each other; Making it appear as two separate numbers for each of the rounds. It in turn got me disqualified in both dance styles. Not to inflate my own ego at all but I had several years of ballroom experience and was one of the favorites to win Salsa, for sure! Got a whopping scholarship from Mad Hot but my mom being unfamiliar with the city at the time didn’t enroll me and I couldn’t further my career. This day was definitely a ripple in time. Without a doubt.
