FIrstly, I had worked in the Honda Service Centre and Honda BigWing and I had worked on CBR 150r, 250r and 1000rr. If it was the first version of CBR 250r 2010 - 2012 (CBR250RB/RC) 100% it would be a Bad Rocker arm (for sure)+ a bad CCT(maybe). These parts have some manufacturing defects due to which they were destined to failure. I had mine replaced at 1900Km ! If the Tappet is making that much noise even at 25k, It means the Valve clearance has gone way way out of spec and the only reason for that is broken rocker (The roller beating shaft sheers) Honda specs says Intake 0.16 ± 0.03 (0.13, 0.14, 0.15, , 0.17, 0.18, 0.19) Exhaust 0.27 ± 0.03 (0.24, 0.25, 0.26, , 0.28, 0.29, 0.30) Anything between these is " Within spec " according to Honda but if it is like 0.20 and 0.32 respectively, it indicates that there is a problem in the rocker arm bearing shaft as a wear of over 0.04 - 0.05 is WAY too much. Most mechanics just adjust the tappet clearance by replacing the shims but they fail to diagnose the root cause of such a high valve clearance. That will fix the noise but the problem is still there. Mostly, I have seen exhaust side with high clearance when I disassemble the rockers, the bearing pin were always broken. I have like 20+ replaced rocker arm for the exhaust all of them had the same problem. You can reply with you email or whatsapp number and I will send you the pics and videos for the failed rockers.

Can you tell me the part number of the item you replaced as whatever you are terming it is not getting any response from the spares part dealers in Kolkata and I am having the same problem with my CBR. Planning to change all the shims+ this pair of arm compressor. Please help me out.. I know you won't have the packing but can you somehow figure out the correct name of the part?
