Nothing quite like a Wurlitzer. The sound is unmistakable. I've played several pipe organs but never was lucky enough to have access to a Wurlitzer theater organ. I have played a Wurlitzer electronic a few times, but the most prominent pipe organ maker I've personally experienced was an Aeolean-Skinner. It WAS in good condition.

Beautifully played and I just love this organ. We went to Capri last night (I’ve been several time) and took the kids for the first time. Oh my gosh, my daughter was overwhelmed and giggled like crazy at the organ coming up out of the floor.

When we lived in Adelaide we did volunteer work at the Capri. Around the time of ‘crocodile Dundee’. That was a lifesaver to for capri & TOSA. My eldest daughter was a musical student at Brighton High School 7 a couple of times tried her hand on the organ, once when it was still on the platform & once when it was on the lift. Great memories of packed houses & many international artists.

Congratulations to Tony on this Brilliant synthesis "Rach"ing the Beatles medley- I am used to Tony/John duets... but this was special! I had to plug my Sennheiser Amperions headphones in to get the glorious bass.

I took my three daughters here in about 1992, to see the magic of the organ coming up out of the pit and to experience the sheer super splendor and elation of that wonderful wurlitzer pipe organ music. It was fantastic.

Dear Capri, we love what you do - and, could you put Richard Larritt's name on the credits? thanks (ps, I'm available if you need to update the rather dull script under the video, make it a bit more contemporary - we don't want people to think the place is full of old guys, now do we?

There is a KZbin video entitled "Richard Larritt talks about the Capri Theatre Organ" in which he introduces himself and explains the history of the organ.
@pipfox78344 жыл бұрын
@@terrihenricks4160 we wish the Capri would change the credit line to include the musician. Don't they look online sometimes to monitor people's reaction to their youtube clips? If not, they should. I've been going there since about 1978, when the Capri was the ONLY place in town for multicultural movies and movie festivals. Just been given two free tix tonight!

Incidentally, what’s the title of the enchanting piece? I don’t recall ever hearing it before. Unfortunately the sheet music’s heading is just a bit too small to read (last word could be “me”).
