Here we go! Classic Elliot. Man, talk about relying on old habits and patterns.

Like another commenter said, I started lifting watching you, Hodge Twins and Omar Osuf. This is awesome for you to offer, and at a great price point too. One question though- will there be a shower trailer/Porto potties on site perhaps?

I remember watching you, omarisuf, the hodgetwins back when they focused on lifting and zyzz was still alive back in my 20s. I'm 2 years out from 40 now, time really does fly. Wish I could take a month retreat to just focus on fitness. Life really does get to you, I'm probably 80-90lbs heavier than I used to be so it's a bit defeating and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.

Man, hearing Uncle E talk again takes me way back. I was like 19/20 on a self improvement mission trying to make it pro playing ⚽️ here in the UK. I got really good and trained really well watching tonnes of Elliot’s videos and hit some great heights but then had a serious knee injury, got married and became a little chunky and comfortable (I wouldn’t say lazy but maybe a bit too comfortable). I became quite unhappy with my career but never took any risks to leave my 9-5 to pursue my dream. Recently had another serious knee injury playing sports and also quit my comfortable career job to finally take the plunge to chase my dreams at the age of 30 and seeing Elliot making videos again at this time means a lot. Wish I could fly out to the retreat but I’m afraid I can’t make the sacrifice this time, I hope there’s another one on next year but regardless ima tune in to whatever you broadcast. Looking forward to more Uncle E!

Young Elliott looked handsome and healthy. Still kind of looks this way just has to work on grooming the beard and de aging. Mewing and facial excercises.

Yo E! I just wanted to say that you actually recommended a Pilates book in one of your videos about 10 years ago which I still have. It’s called “The Pilates Body” by Brooke Siler. I’d recommend it to my fellow brothers.

You should have probably asked how much the guy who asked the question bench presses already. If he can bench 225 with good technique, all he needs is a well programmed training cycle and he should hit 250 no problem. If he's benching 185 with messy technique, than he has a lot of work to get to 250.

I only use weights these days for deadlifts and squats. Everything else is bar/ring work, resistance bands, sometimes using a weighed vest for extra resistance.
@BuckandOden2 күн бұрын
The bench press has always felt like an awkward exercise for me. I much prefer flipping over and doing some form of push up. I use gymnast rings, a weighed vest and a resistance band for extra resistance (which also doesn't require bulky equipment.)

I'm 42, and Elliot you're right brother. I no longer max out, no more 300 lbs plus in weight. Most I'll go is 225, and that's once in s great while to just shock my nervous system. I rep 135-185 and stay within that range frequently. You should talk about the importance of push-ups my man. Especially for men over 40, people think i lift heavy. But honestly I'm a busy man and I do more push-ups than bench pressing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge brother take care God bless
