I change hundreds of these a month. There's only two orings holding it back from leaking and is not 100% leak proof. Not all evepure filters are made equal. Especially the 4Cs. Sometimes, it is just a bad batch of filters, and even with a new heads, or changing the o rings they still leaks.
@webekelven2 жыл бұрын
"Slight differences in manufacturing tolerances" due to a change in manufacturing facilities result in a mismatch between old heads and new cartridges--and "sometimes the older heads do leak with the newer cartridges." Of course, it is just as easy and truthful to say: "sometimes the newer cartridges do leak with the older heads." Please clarify: have the cartridge manufacturing tolerances changed, or have the design specifications changed on both the head and cartridge? A change in tolerance does not guarantee a leak-free fit with a new head, especially if the tolerances have been relaxed. The mention of "sometimes" is disconcerting, and leads me to think tolerance design specifications have changed--thus making the older head and cartridge obsolete. Of course, if specifications have changed along with relaxed tolerances, then there is an increased possibility for leakage on new product, too. And the reason Everpure would make this change, or these changes. . . ? Obvious answer: to reduce manufacturing costs and require customers to replace their older, perfectly functional system with a 'possibly' lower quality new product. More obvious answer: greed.

Question i have activated coconut charcoal for detoxification purposes and i was wondering why when i mix with water it starts to fizz, is this normal? Thanks
@bigbrandwater2 жыл бұрын
Yes that is normal. Water is soaking into the carbon while tiny air bubbles escape.

The first time I changed it was so simple, I'm having a hard time getting the filter off this time, it won't turn. Any suggestions?

I always use silicone lubricant during assembly. This makes removal the next time around easier.

@@bigbrandwater I'm so sorry, I forgot what I did, but there was 1 thing I didn't do which was a very simple thing that removed the filter. Not sure if it was just a turn of something, oh boy uts been awhile. But thank you for replying.

Do you sell stainless steel supply lines for residential faucets? The smallest size listed on your website is 3/4", which is too large for that, of course. If not, can you point to another manufacturer that sells stainless steel supply valve lines that connect to 3/8" fittings? It seems all companies that sell supply lines are just stainless steel braided vinyl tubing...seemingly no different from one another.
@bigbrandwater2 жыл бұрын
We do not offer anything smaller than 3/4", the exception would be for orders of case quantites where we can special order in smaller sizes.

Everpure made new molds at some point. Sometimes filters do drip leak with an older head.

Iron is complicated. Start with a water test, it can be colloidal, dissolved, particulate or bound to an organic molecule.

Brock Plumbing products used on potable water have to be lead free. California was the first to implement this in the 1980’s then all other states followed. Our product does not contain lead, it is 100% stainless steel so it does not have a warning. I believe you are referring to prop 65. We are a distributor and do not sell any products that contain lead. We cannot control what others make or sell nor do we write the laws.
@brocksamson15316 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I would like to ask if you're product has a prop 64 warning? My next question is why are products being sold for hot water heaters if it has a non use for portable water? Why not just make the product for portable water seeing how people are going to use it for washing dishes and in their home? Think you guys could be head of movement of true low voc water lines for homes. Please do it for that everything I can fined has for my hot water heater or washer has lead or 64 lable. Thanks
@bigbrandwater2 жыл бұрын
No prop 64 warning is required. Stainless steel does not contain lead. Older brass parts have lead. California was the first to go lead free brass, now the whole country is lead free brass for potable water.

Great video. Do you know how many tannins are in coconut shells? Does heat remove the tannins in the coconut shell? Thx
@bigbrandwater2 жыл бұрын
Coconut shells are heated to 800 degrees I believe for 30 minutes, tannins are removed. The heat process is how the carbon is activated.

Thanks for the video.. I have 2 questions. I have 1" pipes but you say thatI can install the 1.5 so I would havea larger screen area and would have pressure longer? Would this reduce my constant pressure havingthis one section of 1.5 in the middle of te 1" Thanks
@erdricksword36846 жыл бұрын
Captinprivate you lose no pressure changing size, only volume and speed. Psi is the same for any size pipe. Once filled it also has the same speed because In and out match volume. Going from 1 1/2" down to 1" increases speed but reduced volume, and going 1" to 1 1/2" does the opposite.

How often do you need to change the coconut shell carbon in whole house water softener systems? We have hard water.
@bigbrandwater2 жыл бұрын
Water softeners have an ion exchange resin. I don't mix carbon in a softener as the softener resin lasts longer than the carbon. I usually change the carbon every 2-3 years.

I believe you are referrering to flux rate which is a measurement of flow rate per square meter of membrane surface. I am not sure if they publish those or not. The low energy membranes will have a higher flux rate versus a standard tap water membrane.
