Thanks William, a Taming of the Shroom story. 🍄🍄🍄 Ther are purple capped macro fungi down here called Cortinarius Archeri. They can grow very large and I'm guessing that eating any portion of them would not end up happily ever after. ☠️

Ditto! I'm afraid I lack either the skill or the device to follow William Sky to another platform. Or perhaps I'm lazy, or tired, or exhausted by life in general. I come here for respite and I'm so glad this site is still active. Wish I could place his accent! 😮

@@shelleymarquis2887. I'm in the same boat in regards to tech. I'm very glad Mr Sky still posts some stories here. His accent sounds sort of South East English to me, I hope he sets us straight. 😊

Thank you so much, William! I completely agree, his storytelling is timeless. It's amazing how much emotion and depth can be packed into such short stories. Do you think the themes in these classics still resonate with today's world, or have they become more of a nostalgic escape for us?
@philc85758 күн бұрын
@@LifeTouchingStories-u7o For me, being 69 yrs old, I love these stories for the nostalgia of simpler, less complicated times. Frankly, I'm glad I'm old and won't be around a whole lot longer. I am not happy with what the world is coming to today!

Hi - I’ve been listening to a few of these and I love them. Good old fashioned Scifi stories. And you’re a really good reader which is unusual for scifi. Look forward to many,many more. Why do I say old fashioned? Cause I used to read Scifi magazines with such great stories just like these . . . guess when ? The early ‘60’s. I wish to god I’d kept those. Sigh. . . Well, thanks again. And have Happy - Merry Holidays! :) 🌲☀️🕯️🌺☃️✨🎄

I seriously don’t understand how reading public-domain stories gets you demonetized (but I know it’s true). I think your word “unpredictable” best describes it. Sadly, I suspect it’s meant to be unpredictable so no one can be certain ANY video gets monetized. I think you are doing a public service. My vision is pretty bad, and your reading is excellent. I used to read a lot, but it’s become more difficult. I also would have never been exposed to sci-fi from before the 1960s, and I’m amazed how good it is.

Yeah, unfortunately, all they have to do is cut the amount they pay, claim that you're not getting as many hits as you actually are, change search algorithms so that not as many people find your posts, or claim that you're not complying with KZbin's terms of agreement and temporarily or permanently disable your account.

First of all, thanks for the kind comment, I'm glad to share these sometimes forgotten stories. They really are wonderful works. In terms of the demonetisation, I believe it's more to do with KZbin thinking the content is produced by AI or procedurally generated (most of the videos have the same format). What I can't understand is why they would make life so difficult for creators. I'm sure they have lost plenty of money from creators not willing to commit due to the unpredictability of it all. From a business point of view, it doesn't make sense for KZbin to create such an unstable place for creators... but hey, who are we to question the great algorithm gods!?

Great video, thanks! PS: What software do you use to change the color of the words, based on Verbs, Pronouns and Adjectives?
@storiesfromthesky20 күн бұрын
Glad you liked it! There are a bunch of different apps that can do this - I was using the online Office tool because I needed to capture images of the words in a particular way. However, it was very time consuming - there are much quicker and easier ways of colouring the words. english.edward.io/ is an example. Hope that helps!
