First Marty Robbins song I remember was "A White Sport Coat And A Pink Carnation" ---- mom had a little kitchen radio and we kids turned up the volume when it came on! A favorite of hers, too! Snazzy car, by the way----- !! 🌹

Truth! Sad story! Mel was a wonderful artist! Glad his daughter kept it country and she could coin a song title from Loretta, "They don't make 'em like my daddy anymore" and it's hard to find real country artists that are like the stars from the 50s to 80s, and some 90s--- 🌹
