@@MOTUJonezer Of course I don't appear on camera. A, there's enough ugliness in the world and B, this is a gaming channel and I'm not the type to build it on the usual cult of personality bullsh. Good way to get tons of work thrown on you while your co workers laugh and point while they get to relax. Every job isn't the same and sometimes you should do things that you benefit from. For example, if you know working hard will get you a promotion, then go for it. But if working hard just gets the company to see you are a genius who will just keep taking on work without being compensated for it, then that is plain ignorance.

Context is everything.. I was the guy who my bosses went to for everything and I did it without batting an eye. Then promotions were denied me, new hires weren't ever to the places I was covering and was constantly and consistently low balled on raises. After I left they hired 3 people to cover what I was doing. If they hired 1 I would've stayed but in the end all the bosses that maneuvered me the way they did lost their job or were demoted

After 45 yrs of working i have learned that if you do stuff thats not your job or responsibility then suddenly it becomes your job cause hey you did it before so why can't you always do it. Meanwhile the business gets richer and you just get more work. Employers love fools like you thinking hard work gets you ahead. Now I do the bare minimum to not get fired and thats only if someone is watching
