What about joining after CRNA school? Will they still re imburse your loans?

The $75k cost of living should be counted on both sides. On civilian side, you receive $0 and spent $75k. On HPSP side, you receive $82.8k, but still has to spent $75k to make it a fair comparison.

I really like how detailed and organized this video is. I've seen many others where each specialty gets a vague description and many specialties get left out. This is great! The dry erase board visual helps too. I'm pre-nursing and do not think I want to work bedside, so I really liked this video!

Hi. I am a doctor of physical therapy. I always wanted to be a cardiologist, but went the PT route. I would love to do this. I am 48, and am asking what is the best way to become a perfusionist? Thanks in advance

I’ve worked as a perfusionist for about 13 years now. In 3 different university hospitals, in 2 different countries and languages. I’ve seen all the stuff that this world contains. Still there is no possibility to work in America as a perfusions, even though I am a US citizen as well. Crazy… there is a big lack of health professionals in the US, especially in heart surgery.

I'm a critical care certified paramedic, working as an ALS provider on an ambulance and also part time as a flight medic. i've been wondering where else i can take my career as i have a deep seated passion for cardiology. while i would want to continue working as a part time flight medic regardless of what in healthcare i do, this has sure peaked my interest.

Do you know about USAGPAN? Pay and benefits are much nicer, but it's a 5-year. commitment. Rather than $2,500/mo, it's full-time AD officer pay and benefits while school is 100% paid for. The time in school also qualifies as retirement years unlike HPSP.

I'm not 100% sure howthatmaps across. Foreign pharmacists who want to practice in the United States can become licensed through the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) or by completing a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program in the U.S.

Great question! I began the application paperwork for HPSP and CRNA school around the same time. I was able to request the recommendation letters for both programs simultaneously which made it a lot easier. The TLDR is to start your applications to both as soon as possible. Don't wait to get accepted to one before applying to the other.

1) I would say get an ICU job and a high-quality learning hospital. 2) Start shadowing CRNA in the profession 3) Call your Air Force officer, healthcare, professional recruiter, and start a relationship with them 4) Reach out to any military personnel you know who could connect you with a CRNA, who is in the military (I’m thinking via LinkedIn would be the best strategy)
