Liked Alice in Wonderland, maybe I did come in with low expectations but thought it was pretty good, enjoyable adaptation/update as well as in its own right.

Thought Pi completely transcended question of budget, it all looked, seemed impressive, loved Requiem for a Dream, but thought the mixing of the plots and time periods in The Fountain really didn't work well, took away from each rather than improved each.

His first two were the best.

Really not sure how he *and* the cast did so badly in Noah, but probably they, or he, thought the basic concept was so great they didn't have to do much with it.

I think his best are Catch Me If You Can and Schindler's List.

AI felt too weird, too extreme but/and not really consistent, believable as a future.

Hook was weird, Williams and Hoffman are great actors who went wrong there, at least went way too far due to the direction.

Personally I love Prince of Darkness. It has a unique dread filled atmosphere that grows for me with rewatches. I’d also put The Fog far higher. Again, it has that special Carpenter atmosphere and is a simple but great horror tale. Assault on Precinct 13 is great and pretty high for me too. But that’s just me.

Miss Ferguson's beauty alone puts Rogue Nation at number 1. But even not considering that, it is easily better than all other MI movies combined to anyone with cinematic taste.

This should be taken down. You have no clue what you’re talking about. Serious man is one of the best films ever made. Raising Arizona is easily in top 5 as well as Burn after reading. Ballad of buster Scruggs doesn’t count because it was produced by a dvd rental company. I’ve watched each of these films roughly 100 times and got annoyed with you quickly. Lady killers is worst then Hidsucker, then is subjective. Oh brother where out though does not hold up over time. Your list is just wrong

I think A Serious Man is their #1 film. If you’re Jewish (like me) it hits hard, and I’ve watched it many times. If you’re not, you probably don’t get it.

The problem with Steven King liking a production of one of his book is, if he likes it, the movie is garbage. I'd go as far as to say, any movie from his books he as ANY involvement in, turns it into crap. Cameos, direction, screen play credit, anything. If he so much as likes the director the movie is likely doomed.

Before watching this video, I did my own ranking as follows: 18. The Lady Killers (2004) 17. Intolerable Cruelty (2003) 16. The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) 15. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018) 14. Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) 13. Raising Arizona (1987) 12. Barton Fink (1991) 11. Hail, Caesar! (2016) 10. Blood Simple (1984) 9. The Man Who Wasn’t There (2001) 8. Burn After Reading (2008) 7. A Serious Man (2009) 6. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) 5. True Grit (2010) 4. Miller’s Crossing (1990) 3. The Big Lebowski (1998) 2. Fargo (1996) 1. No Country for Old Men (2007) We agreed on the top and bottom few on the list. We differed quite a bit on "Barton Fink" and "Inside Llewellyn David". Regardless, it was a fun exercise ranking these... Cheers...
