Which headset are you using? Really want one that is comfortable to wear for long periods of time if I'm going to give VR sculpting a try.
@bryantmomokoshu96536 ай бұрын
I currently use quest 2. Haven't tried quest 3 yet, but I'm sure it's a lot comfortable than what I have. Also, I get pretty bad motion sickness too in the headset to be honest. The max I can stay in the headset is around 30min at a time. but I still love the efficiency and fluidity Vr sculpting offer.

Do you still use this workflow for mech designs?
@bryantmomokoshu965310 ай бұрын
I currently moved on to using more Blender than 3D Studio Max. However, the process is still the same.

this is so fking cool! 100% gonna get the tutorial. Really interested in moving to Substance Modeler, it would be amazing to also launch specific tutorials for guns 😍.

gravity sketch now has an ipad version that doesnt need vr, and substance modeler also has a desktop option. But to be honest VR is too powerfull and there would be a lot of extra time needed for sculpting and modeling without it. 100% recomended to get one, as soon as i started using medium for concepting props and characters, my workflow at work for concept art improved a lot in speed and also it feels so fun and free that you end up been even more creative and creating way better art with it <3

Hi there. I have question . Why do you retopo by hand instead using zremesher ?
@bryantmomokoshu96532 жыл бұрын
Hey Edgar, zremesher is amazing, but I find it hard to get the exact shape i'm looking for. I like using zremesher on areas where it's not too important, but for sections that visible, to get the exact shape with exact topology, I still believe retop is a way to go. This video is a bit outdated at this point. I use dynamic subdivision for making these shapes now, but it's still similar to the retop method.

Why do you use 3ds max for UVs and 3dCoat for retopo? That's two more pieces of software you'd have to pay for. Not saying that you shouldn't use them lol, but i'm curios what those 2 do better when it comes to what you're using them for.

How the hell do you have such high resolution objects in a large space? Medium has a very constrained space whenever I try to build in it.
