Yes, MSAA looks clearer, but it also looks grainy as fuck. I find IT disgusting, and TAA is perfectly fine to me. It's a thing of preference, come on.

TAA is making me give up on consoles. At least on PC you can tune the settings or get mods to do it. You are not stuck on playing a blurry $70 mess

I love the original Riven and this is the great remake, but! Why change puzzles? And graphics could be better with just a little more efforts - awful 3D characters, a lot of low poly, texturing and lighting flaws. And big round tree island insides look especially ugly.

Sure I just paid 7 bucks for the game so I'm definitely, 100% gonna pay another 5 for this Luke guy. F right off, runs fine enough for me to trade overall image quality and ghosting for some more fps

Who can afford a video adapter from NASA to turn on anti-aliasing with any of these games. Maybe in ten years. With temporal anti-aliasing in Skyrim SE, the stairstepping would cycle in and out. Today games sometimes do false anti-aliasing that doesn't add information. Euro Truck Simulator comes preset with SMAA and looks like a dust and scratches filter had been applied.

On red dead 2 the taa they used was just perfect for , te build the game on that antialiasing … ps4 and Xbox graphics was set on taa…

Knowing this comes from the FTAA community (which I appreciate mostly for calling out the lazyness of devs these days) I will probably get lynched for my opinion, but in the example of Deus Ex, I actually prefer TAA and would even more appreciate DLSS. The picture is so shimmery. I went back to DXMD to test around with Reno DX for HDR and I played around with TAA on and off. And yes its true a lot of detail is lost, but I just can´t stand how much the picture is dancing around just by moving the mouse. So much looks fizzy and shimmery. That is the one thing I appreciate about DLSS. It makes the picture "calm". This does wonders for immersion imo. The less I feel like I am in a game, the more I like it. And its easier to focus on stuff for me. I have the theory that, the higher the complexity of the picture, the more something like DLSS is needed. Although TAA itself so far to me only looked better in this one instance over MSAA. I think the native picture of DXMD is just horrible compared to TAA. The assets were clearly made with TAA in mind. And that sucks imo. For me personally DLSS>SSAA>MSAA>SMAA>TAA off the top of my head.

I have a question, what is the difference between "Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition" and "Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty"? I see in the ps store that one is the game and the other is sold as an add-on... ??? Please someone help me clarify!! Thanks.

I don’t know what you are talking I don’t have any microstutters at all, you better check gpu drivers or at least see if microstutters appear in the city means your cpu getting bounded

@@vladislavkaminskiy6460 Nah man there are plenty of micro stutters and memory leak, i put some graphics lower in order to make it run smoothly in RTX 4070 TI - I put to blame UE5 and bad optimization. Game interesting still and runs good when im outside any places with NPCs, but the moment i get to Stalkers Camp - there possibility for freeze for few seconds and then 3FPS, until i restart game. Also game unforgiving if you die and reload save, it also may start losing FPS after safe/load.

@@vladislavkaminskiy6460 The shimmering is from antialiasing being turned off which you can only do with native as the only source of AA is TAA and that causes blur and decreased motion clarity.

Pretty well. I put most settings on Epic/High, with TSR at 70%, and Frame Gen, getting around 75 FPS @ 4K on a RX 6800. No stuttering or frame dips for me, quite a smooth experience.

Used to pc player till 2015? Used rock on with amd hd 7950. That was beast then. Things i miss: mouse and keyboard on fps games and games like civ,homm etc. Generally better multiplayer experience. Things i dont miss: spending some serious amount of cash on rig. Altho gonna invest on gaming laptop eventually. Solely for reasons mentioned above

Thanks for uploading this benchmark run. I was thinking of getting either 7800xt, 7900gre or 7900xt. I'm leaning heavy to 7900xt now. I can't believe the game only gets about 95 FPS on modern gpu and the game is a decade ago. I was expecting like 130 to 150 FPS. I know this video is a while ago but do you mind running the same benchmark on Large unit size instead of Ultra? If you have time. I would just play on large unit size.

Hey. The reason why I got 94 FPS in the video was because I was using ReShade RTGI (raytraced global illumination) and really trying to push the card to its absolute limits which most benchmarkers don't do because they pursue high, inflated numbers. RTGI is super demanding. So I reran the benchmark again and got 158 FPS WITHOUT RTGI then I switched to large unit size and got 165 FPS. The 7900XT is an excellent bang for your buck card I would pick again in a heartbeat that stomps on the 4070 in a lot of older games no questions asked.

@@Swaggaccino Thanks for running it again. 158 FPS and 165 FPS sounds great! My monitor is 165hz. My 2080 Super is not fast enough when I max out the graphic settings on 1440p. FPS in the 70s just on the campaign map when there's more things on the map shown. 7900xt can play on Ultra unit size after all. I'm so excited to get the 7900xt now. I was even considering the 7900xtx just for more FPS. haha. Does if feel more immersive with RTGI? I never heard of it until now. Is that a mod you download cuz the vanilla game doesn't have it from what I remember(it's been a while since I played). Is this the mod that KZbinrs doing Roman Empire documentaries use to make the visuals soooo good?

@@kalalit RTGI has mixed results. In some games like Uncharted 4, it looks a bit better and in others like Red Dead 2 you can hardly tell but it's super demanding so ideally it's not the best thing especially when there's thousands of units on screen and lighting is the last thing you should be focused on. As for the KZbin documentary mods, it's probably a mix of better textures either from Nexus and/or private Discord/Patreon subs and/or Attila which is basically Rome 2.5 on the newer Total War engine. There's also a ton of total conversion mods as well. But yeah enjoy the card! 7900XT is $700 on Amazon right now and XTX is $850. I would definitely get an AMD CPU if you can for a combo. I made the mistake of going with Intel. You should get 5-10fps boost with AMD CPU.

@@Swaggaccino Oh I'm waiting for Black Friday. I got Ryzen 3600x and I'm going to get the Ryzen 7600x or maybe 5800x to save a bit of money since I always put graphics on MAX. I played Total War since Shogun original up to Rome 2. Also, gonna play Rome Remasterd for NOSTALGIA. haha. Haven't played Attila or Three Kingdoms yet but I already got the games. Right after this video I saw on your Warhammer and Three Kingdoms benchmarks and they were quite good FPS. I'm probably gonna get 7600x and DDR5. Other games I play are War Thunder, Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3 Remastered. Raytracing is not as important to me so video cards with just good rasterization is all I need. Thanks for the bit about the texture mods/patreon/etc. I didn't realize where ppl get it from.

@@kalalit Attila is great. It's basically Rome 2.5 dealing with late antiquity. It's far more challenging but I like parts of it more than Rome 2 itself. Definitely give it a go after Rome 2 but go slow because it's the hardest TW game and a bit glitchy since CA gave up on it early due to sales. 7600x and 7900XT is a solid choice. Even more perfect since you don't care about raytracing and plan on playing older games. Enjoy bro!

Damn, that was badass and mostly because you timed it so well with a good strategy and zero fucking fear. I get so shit scared when they scream and get so erratic, I click the wrong buttons and end up getting killed when it's Anchor's half health or a bit less, when it starts to open randomly and faster.

TSR(Temporal Super Resolution) - is default Ue5 upscaler. Because it integrated, it work better with particles and animated materials

Your cpu is bottleneck spiking with the gpu, you should get a 13900k with a watercooler aio, mines running at 4k 100fps average on palworld

It should be noted that Mario Odyssey mod is being used on the right alongside Render96, which explains the different bowser fight in case anyone's wondering. I do think base Mario 64 has better sound mixing than Render96, a mod which I otherwise adore & excited to see finished.

2560x1440 since I was also running it with pathtracing. I don't think any GPU - 4090 included - can run 4k natively with pathtracing above 20fps.

I literally can't see any differences beyond increased colour saturation on PC, and an upgrade from decent water reflections on vehicles and roads to good water reflections on PC (except from the police officer in the rain, she actually looked even worse than she does on PS5). I didn't notice this in the video, but on PC, you also get an upgrade from awful shadows to good, accurate shadows, without sacrificing FPS. But shadow quality is very difficult to notice during gameplay soooo... Definitely not worth the 500% price tag. If only Jackie's pork sirloin weren't 120p in resolution on both platforms. 🫠

This remake is very disappointing. It's so sad that they replaced reals actors with mediocre 3d models and changed the riddles for the worse. The 2024 version is soulless and so far behind the original.

1997 is better for full motion video characters only, 2024 is better by miles in every other way. I hope they patch it and give an option like they did in Myst 2021
