Jack Russell was the life and soul of that band when he left the band the magic was gone and it all really ended for them.

Jack Russell was one of the very best singers of his time, radio play did nothing to propel Great Whites popularity. Still and forever listening to this awesome music from very talented musicians. Rock on Jack.....🎸🎤🥁🔥😢😭

Great White is so much better than many bands that made it bigger. Real music fans know quality and Great Whites music was amazing. RIP Jack Russell. I’m still in disbelief. Born to sing what a vocalist!

One of their best was “Hiway Nights”,But they had so many amazing songs..Damn, did this guy ever sound bad live??! Great White was such a kick ass band back in those days..R.I.P. Jack.. I I am thankful I got to see them once in ‘89 for the Twice Shy tour in an arena, then 3 other times around ‘94 through ‘98 at a small club by my house.. Right in the front..Once with Teddy Cook playing bass..Was around the time “Sail Away” released..

Saw Great White in Vancouver, in 1996 or so in a bar/club.. man ! They opened up with Call it RnR, Jack jumping and spinning on stage. Oh my.. to this day.. best show in my life. And on top of that, after the show, I went outside in the parking lot. Where the tour bus was parked.. Got to talked to Jack in the parking….. he was so nice . We chatted for a while… Jack was so nice…….. so chill.. so cool.. 😢 I have such great memory of Jack Russel. Rest in Peace Jack.

I saw this tour in Feb 1993 at a large rock bar venue called Ziggy's in Winston Salem NC. They were off the chain badass. Awesome venue too. We called it Ziggy's Thunderdome. Great White is one of my favorite live bands, saw them another 5 times after this show.

Jack Russell is, without question, in the top 5 vocalists in RnR history. Back in the 90s they played a place called 8 Second Saloon in Indy. Jack and Mark were in the parking lot just outside the doors just shooting the schitt before the show and I walked right past them and didn't realize that I'd just missed my opportunity to say hey and meet them until they hit the stage. They had cut off all that RnR hair and I didn't recognize them. Was like they were in the parking lot of a grocery store on the way in. No one was with them so I must not have been the only one. 🙆

Well the times are gettin' hard for you little girl I'm a hummin' and a strummin' all over God's world You can't remember when you got your last meal And you don't know just how a woman feels You didn't know what rock 'n' roll was Until you met my drummer on the grey tour bus I got there in the nick of time Before he got his hands across your state line, yeah Now it's the middle of the night on the open road The heater don't work and it's oh, so cold You're lookin' tired, you're lookin' kinda beat The rhythm of the street sure knocks you off your feet You didn't know how rock 'n' roll looked Until you caught your sister with the guys from the group Halfway home in the parkin' lot By the look in her eye she was givin' what she got I said my, my, my, I'm once bitten twice, shy babe My, my, my, I'm once bitten twice shy baby My, my, my, I'm once bitten twice shy baby Ah, woman, you're a mess, gonna die in your sleep There's blood on my amp and my Les Paul's beat Can't keep you home, you're messin' around My best friend told me you're the best lick in town You didn't know that rock 'n' roll burned So you bought a candle and you lived and you learned You got the rhythm, you got the speed Mama's little baby likes it short and sweet I said my, my, my, I'm once bitten twice, shy baby My, my, my, I'm once bitten twice shy babe My, my, my, I'm once bitten twice shy baby Alright! I didn't know you had a rock 'n' roll record Until I saw your picture on another guy's jacket You told me I was the only one But look at you now, it's dark as it's done Oh my, my, my, I'm once bitten twice, shy babe My, my, my, I'm once bitten twice shy baby My, my, my, I'm once bitten twice shy baby My, my, my, I'm once bitten twice, shy So shy Oh so shy So shy, baby So shy So shy, so shy So, so shy, so shy
