I really like the handle shape you came up with for this one. I may have to "borrow" it for a future project. 😉 New subscriber as well. Cheers!

Turned out great! I did a stick with an epoxy resin spacer about a year ago and was quite impressed with how it looked. Adds a whole new range of possibilities to the hobby.

that turned out amazing. have you ever considered recycling your trunning scraps from a project like this casting them in resin and tuening that?
@BelfastCarving12 күн бұрын
That's a great idea! I'll try that this winter. Thanks.

@@BelfastCarving Alright, looking forward to that! What do you do with the metal parts you cut off, melt them or do you give it to a mate?

They could be recycled, but I just scrap them.

Three tips ,first get rid of the work gloves ,they are a safety hazard near spinning wood and machines . Wear your nalgene gloves instead Next , install a dust removal system Finally , home the cutting edges of the forstner . If it is smoking , it is dull

Thank you for your comments. As you see, I use MaxiFlex Safety Work Gloves 34-874 Nitrile Micro-Foam Grip Palm & Fingers. Tight fit and secure. Also, I have a Jet 650 dust removal system, but I need something better. I agree it's not enough. I'm really glad you gave me this feedback. Keep watching.

Hi. In my country, working with gloves on machines is prohibited due to safety regulations. Especially on a lathe.

Disappointed. As someone who uses a cane, I would have liked to have seen how the handle was made.
@BelfastCarving5 ай бұрын
I made 2 videos, and the second will be released on July 6, which focuses on how I shaped the handle. I believe you will see the details you asked about. Also currently carving a one-piece cane (no wood turning), and that video will come out late July. Thank you for your comment, and let me know if the following videos are better.
