I can't believe even in a documentary curvilinear forms and forma alluding to nature are called "organic" Organic has nothing to do with straight line-free forms, organic is the natural emergence of form, whether linear, geometric or curvilinear

The HUNGARIAN art. nouveau buildings are so fanciful and of such high standards of construction and materials. Very impressive. Pure genius. A grand style that became obsolete as soon as it was reaching it's most creative period. Oh how I wished it had lasted much longer and withstood the cold modern movement that killed it off.

Art Nouveau is known as Art Nouveau in the UK 🤔 I suppose like anything there are many terms and offshoots to describe a period as a whole. Other than that I love this period and particularly the subsequent Art Deco period which followed. Interesting how an art movement about organic structures developed organically into other arts and styles! 😁

Art Nouveau ran concurrent with Art Deco. It slightly bridged the Timeline Period from Victorian to Modern, and continued for so many were bound in Victorian Ideaologies and were not comfortable with such a rapid shift in Thought and expierence. Art Nouveau is expressive in its "flowery details" that act to cushion the individual in the era having come from such layered details, dark colors, and "bobbles" (the unnessary details that give the Victorian Design its signature). It spoke to the era's Ideaologies, laden in learned fears from Rulerships, Religion, and Wars clutter, these having been continued from the periods referenced as the Dark and Middle Ages. Sociology is the area that explains the Design, Art merely reflects the feelings and interpretation. Everything originates from Thought, both in Consciousness and Human Learned Ideas. Art Deco being the picture of minds less influenced by tradition, constraints, and fears. Each have a now, less realized social ideology, yet can reflect a similar influence through our varied social and spiritual conceptions. (Agaiin, *Thought is the creating energies of our Reality.* Quantum Physics, the "Universal Law of Attraction" defined.) This requiring the application of Sociology, Psychology, History, Quantum Physics, and then Art and Design. *Art is infinite in its expressions, as the originator is Thought, both in Consciousness and the Physical Mind.* Beth Tennessee, USA (Sociologist, Journalist, Historian, ... and an Artist of natural gift, yet with limited Art studies in the college years.)

My favorite style in art. Beautiful documentary. So well done. I didn’t know that those cities had such beautiful buildings. I definitely would like to make an Art Nouveau tour of Europe. You should make a second part and include more cities, I missed Prague for example.

Look up Beau Arts, example: San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts, you’ll fall in love again….it’s such a beautiful structure, and when the swans are in the lake, flowers in bloom, and dragonflies are about it’s dreamy
