I want to know who owns it now and who is responsible for a tree about to fall on my trailer. I've sent emails, called, went to the office, and the manager there said she took pictures and sent them in of the tree in question, but won't tell me to whom so I can follow up. They did not hike up my lot rent...not sure why they target some individuals and not others...I suspect possible prejudices as the reason but who knows?

There is a reason, they used to make buildings where they could move all the low-income folks into one area. No middle-class person or family will willingly live with the ghetto folks.

I used to dispatch for animal control on an island. And I would get 22 calls a day about opposums existing in the line of sight of a human. We used to keep a daily opposums count as a joke. I think I actually sent animal control out to two of them in the four months I worked there. Those two were inside someone's house. I had one living in my air vents when I was in college and I called him Creature and he lived hisnwhole 3 years under my house and one of her babies got inside and I set it free. I was so sad when creature died. She was huge and her babies kept coming back to the porch. I love opposums because of her.

I wish I had seen this over 15 years ago. I came home one night to my rowhouse in Baltimore, MD and there was an opossum on the railing of my porch. Quite frankly, they looked like a giant rat. But I was curious and they were calm. So I went inside to get my digital camera and came out to get a couple photos (obviously today you would just whip out your cell phone). The 'possum was still hanging out, so I went back in to get some leftover food from the fridge. Unfortunately when I came back out they were waddling down the sidewalk, never to be seen again.

One time I found a opossum in my garbage can. It was winter and he was cold trying to sleep. I jumpscared and shooed him out of the can so I could put the trash in. He slowly walked away and glared at me like I was a total jerk. His name is Fred.

Relying on the good nature of private equity is just kicking the can down the road, as well as a short-term short-sighted goal. Commodifying housing for unattainable and unaffordable homes must be part of the equation if communities really want to address the problem. While I applaud the efforts here, seems to me that the broader housing markets interest is keeping valuations higher to make larger profits and turn future residents into high profit margin renters!!!

It is beautiful that our people and their art are being showcased and talked about - BUT our Loval VPM srill needs to deal with some internal racism and discrimination - within VPM - which I witnessed first hand. It needs tk to be addressed correctly.

This is such an interesting topic for VPM when locally I myself have faced racism and discrimination at our local PBS - VPM through some of their staff. They still haven't dealt with it. I believe it's time for more people to know.
